Oh, damn I'm really going to be baring my soul here but I've been so badly wanting to tell this story to like-minded people that I thought this is finally the right time.

I grew up in the late 70s and early 80s. I hit porn at the height of the VHS era and PH and Gall. magazine(among others)were in my opinion at the 80s height of their jackoff quality. My very first exposure to porn was searching out for my father's stash about the age of 12. The very first porn magazine I ever masturbated to was PH September 1982. As strange as it sounds, one of the things that added to my excitement and arousal was that he kept his magazines in a clothes chest that had moth balls in it. The magazine had the smell of the wood of the chest and moth balls:



My father's stash was small though, and didn't change much. I was hooked and I craved new stuff. That first PH filled me with a excitement and compulsion to get that rush again. It was the beginning of a long relationship with porn, and a growing love for masturbation. From the age of 13-15 my mind worked like a dastardly machine. I devised ways to obtain and masturbate to porn that only had one goal - the next rush of getting off.

I was a porn thief. No other way to put it. I'm not proud of that but I also can't condemn myself for it. I was truly addicted and once discovering the rush of orgasm while looking at porn, it just took over. From 1982-1986 my mind had a constant porn radar turned on, always on the alert for opportunities! Constant The thing was for the most part I didn't steal magazines from stores. I targeted my friends houses and their parents' stashes. I didn't(for the most part) steal the magazines from their houses, but instead would find them and masturbate to them but put them back. Totally violating privacy I searched their bathrooms(and in some cases their bedroom dressers when I could get away with it) for stashes. I got just as big of a rush from finding a porn stash as I did masturbating to it.

However there were a couple instances where I got really blatant and actually did steal other adult's stashes. My father had a friend who was in his 50s. I went with him one day to visit the man. We were staying overnight there and I don't remember the reason, but when I got in the house I went on a porn quest and found a PH mother load in the bathroom when I was taking a shower and I knew I could search without being interrupted. Among the PH I found that day were these:



I robbed the man blind. Took his porn. Stuffed them into my bag. All that mattered was getting those magazines back home so I could get off to a new round of girls. As a side note I also resorted to stealing VHS porn tapes from friend's parent's houses, and also sleeping over and playing them late at night and masturbating to them while everybody else was asleep. One of the very first porn movies I saw on VHS(and subsequently stole from them), was 1983's "Private School Girls" starring Shauna Grant. That movie only elevated my addiction more. Just made me want to masturbate even more. I also stole a VHS of "Oui Girls" starring Anna Ventura from a different friend's house.

One of the few instances where I DID steal porn directly from a store was this Gall. issue from 1985. I literally couldn't help myself. I saw the girl on the cover and my porn compulsion took over:

My 80s porn supply came directly from theft. I couldn't help it, the rush was too exciting.

One of the interesting things about my first years of masturbation was that I even developed a technique that allowed me to get away with masturbating in a lot of places that otherwise I wouldn't have been able to. I didn't actually "jerk off" in the classic sense of having your dick out and stroking it until later on. Instead from about the age of 12 on I discovered I could stay fully clothed, lay on the floor on my stomach, and rub my penis against the floor or carpet while flipping through a magazine or looking at movie on TV. It became my regular way to get off and I got pretty bold where I did it.

I used the technique to masturbate at my friend's houses in the bathroom. I laid down on the bathroom floor or the living room floor. I would just go at it until I blew in my shorts and then go on my way.

In my evil addicted porn brain, I got truly bold when I took my masturbation to the mall. In America back in the early 80s we had a book store chain back called Walden Books(since gone out of business). During the week it was very slow and the way the store shelves was arranged you could bend down or stoop down and be out of view of everyone at a lot of different points in the store, including the staff up front.

I discovered in the photography section books that were about how to photograph women. To my absolute thrill I found nude shots in them that were every bit as hot as porn layouts. It was like finding porn in a part of the store where nobody thought of it as that! I would literally look around, quickly lay down on the floor of the store out of view, and on my stomach rub myself to orgasm. I got so horny that I could accomplish this in literally like 30 seconds. Then I'd pop up, put the book back on the shelf and casually walk out. I must have been a good lookout because I never got caught doing it! I probably did that at least 15 or 20 times or more. This is the exact book that I discovered in the photography section:



I continued into my late teens searching for stashes in houses and masturbating to them, but then soon after I was able to begin buying my own porn and rent my own VHS porn so the era of theft and deception finally came to an end, lol

I lived quite close to a rubbish tip, my friends and I used it as a playground, we used to find old magazines there, I would take some home with me, my old mum would usually find and bin them, but never spoke to me about it, I was always annoyed to find my latest stash gone, but would always find new ones to replace them, when I was a little older we used to get an older friend to buy them for us, his condition was that he got to read then first.

Bought my first porn mag when I was Ten if you can call Parade porn. I learnt at a young age if you have money there is always someone to sell. Over the years I bought a number of mags from that shop.. I just had to work hard to get the money. I used to do all sorts of odd jobs in those days.

In early 1970's NYC a 13 year old (yours truly) was able to just go in the local candy store and buy ANY porn I wanted over-the-counter. (Playboy, Penthouse, Jaguar etc.) I could even buy the hardcore he kept behind the counter. Thinking back on it I'm amazed.

The truth is that porn just wasn't that hard to come by. I first stumbled across my dad's stash when I was a tween. From then on, someone always seemed to have something from nudist magazines to 8mm soft-core loops. I bought my first Playboy in high school when the old gentleman who ran the bus station gift shop said he'd rather sell the magazines than having school boys thumbing through them.

Anyone remember "The llustrated edition of the Presidential Report of the Commission on Obscenity and Pornography" published Greenleaf Classics? I got that one not long after entering the army. As I went to a boy's school where porn was on the list alongside sweets, football stickers and cans of Top Deck as working currency, I didn't have to go to massive lengths to procure it. Procuring what I actually wanted was more difficult though, as I'd occasionally catch a hot-looking cover on display at the village newsagent knowing that if I got hold of it at some time at all, it would be months once it had been purchased elsewhere and done the rounds.

I wouldn't dare consider nicking anything - the thought of being caught stealing anything would, if you can believe it, by itself out-trump being caught red handed with a stack of pornography. When I could excuse my having porn - "I'm growing up, I like girls, etc etc" - I could never excuse theft. It also didn't help that even if I wanted to snaffle one from a shop, the shelf was waaaay too high for little me. Perhaps the cruellest way I would get hold of porn was in the senior year, when I am others would simply confiscate any contraband material from the juniors. I quickly built up a very nice contribution of Clubs and Men Onlys that there strategically hidden under carpets, behind sinks and underneath wardrobes.

When I left, I donated around half a dozen to a mate of mine in the year below me, and left a stack of others on a table in the toilets for the vultures to pick up. I never considered taking them home, for fear that my mother would find them when unpacking my stuff - as she often did before I had even got in through the front door.

One evening I went a bit crazy and not only took mags from the carousels but from a big stack of new deliveries next to them. I must have taken about 30 mags that day.

The next time I went in Jenny was gone, the carousels had been moved to face the counter and my porn shop-lifting days were over.

Thinking back I'm sorry for stealing from the shop-keeper but I'm more sorry that I probably cost Jenny her job.
