I get that message every time ... one file I've been trying for about a week with no luck and I've tried several other links over the past while and cannot get any of them

If other VEF members are having the same problem and it persists, I hope VEF will consider banning them.

Thanks for that ... I was wondering if there was a prob with my computer and/or my browser
Yeah, I have one half of a file the other half is stuck on FF for a few days now. Really annoying. I still have a RS account, had it for years now and I tend to use imagebam for pictures.

FS dying has really been a pain - I use a file downloader and currently I have 355 files queued... most DF files.

Default Rapidgator

Rapidgator

3 files day as a free user

Its captcha via solve media hates no script - if you disable it - what follows

The chance to catch some malware in the form of their download manager that
occasionally masquerades as the download button - thats if you can guess which button it is

My only advice if your must use this host put your browser inside a sandbox like sandboxie

If your thinking wisely you'll try and find the file on files tube via another host until this malware issue is gone

Default Imagebam

Not sure what's going on with imagebam at the moment but there's a sneaky file called autorun.exe that does sneaky things in a sneaky way hidden in the C:. I can't say it's on all files because obviously i haven't looked at all of them.

My anti-virus catches it but thought it may be a good idea to suggest to you all to be a little careful, get your updates or whatever you need to do. Those who know how could contact them maybe... I'm not one, or I would have

Now you know

*%&!#@& viruses!!!

And one of the joys of using downloading tools like IHG or DtA. They don't download malicious files like that.

I'm pretty happy with hugefiles when uploading. It uploads for my incredibly quick. To the point where I can put up a 1GB file in a single link in about 5-10 minutes. Nobody even comes close. The downside is that they don't keep the files long after the last download --about 7-10 days, which is incredibly short. When it works, it's awesome.

I like downloading from 1finchier. But I sometimes have issues uploading. Only one computer that I use can I get a progress on the upload. That's my iMac that's running mountain lion. The mac mini, running the same OSX and on the same network, doesn't show upload status.

I'm not a fan of depositfiles. But I've never lost a file that was hosted on there. It's a slow download and upload. It will let me upload big files as a single link.

Rapidshare. I don't know where to start. I still have some stuff hosted on there. Even though they swore they were going to delete it. They change so much and so frequently I really don't trust them to upload files. They changed what they were doing when I was a paying member and that irked me. The whole exhausted traffic thing. Then they'll go and basically be awesome for a while. They run hot and cold with me.

The others that have a maximum upload size and mandatory waits between downloads I try to avoid. Although there are times when I get stuck and I've had to split files to make it fit on the only host that seemingly works at the time. Without specifying, I'm probably going to pass on downloading a 10-15 part that's hosted on rapidgator or ******** unless it's something that I really want and I have no alternative, including purchase.

I think I might be in the minority, but I'm not above just buying a dvd.

No progress bar? With a third party application like NetmonitorX you can easily check the upload status via the in- and outgoing traffic monitor. This counter* can be reset to zero at will. It's not free, but it's a very useful tool to have.

no problems with RG, and I find if I hit "Enter" after the captcha I don't get the RG downloader option that has to be unchecked.

Rapidgator: This is the worst hosting of all known, by far. Thumbs down.
