Yeah, sure. He only helped oust many democrats from the House, the Senate, Governorships, and other state government positions. The Republicans now have majorities in most government positions. States that were previously democrat strongholds like Wisconsin, voted Trump. If you look at a map of the country, the majority of the states are now red, while reliably, the two coasts are heavily blue for the dems with their majorities of urban illegals and others who rely on government handouts.

It will be extremely interesting to see how this new drama plays out. But I think it will damage the Republican movement rather than enhance it. Mr Trump is already making himself ridiculous and none of the real governing has begun yet. Healthcare reform is going to be really intriguing.

Let me put this another way. George Walker Bush won two terms and had congressional majorities until 2007. Who thinks now that he did the GOP any favours?

One mustn't forget this truly odious woman, who began by benefitting from a rigged election contest to obtain the Democratic Party nomination, and went on to lose shamefully to a malevolent cretin and inflict him on the world as President of the United States. Yet I have to wonder if she would have been any better: frankly, I doubt it. In a United States which was crying out to be set free from the dead hand of corporatist greed and corruption, she was the quintessential sell-out and corporatist glove puppet.

When did Hillary Clinton ever once talk to the American people about their real concerns? What did she have to say about illegal immigration, or about the wholesale exporting of good quality jobs (which is not the same thing as legitimate free trade); or about environmental and energy policy? Did she say a word about the North Dakota pipeline, which the Bernie Sanders supporters and campaign firmly opposed and which Mr Trump is in love with? She did not. She was probably in favour of it but chose to keep quiet.

Instead of giving the American people real issues to engage with and discussing really substantive policy and principles, she made believe she was a small child at a birthday party and that the presidency was a shower of balloons which she wanted to just be given without needing to earn or deserve it.

Someone needs to slap her really hard.
