Perhaps not but, depending on how many nuclear powers would be involved, humanity could find itself back in the stone age. Thousands of years of civilization wiped out in a couple of minutes. Einstein once said that he doesn't know what weapons will be used in WWIII but WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones. Now that may not be the entire truth but the thought of a full-scale nuclear war between the world's most powerful militaries should be frightening to every human being with a minimum of intelligence. Apart from the millions who would die in nuclear attacks, even more will die from famine, radiation, diseases and the struggle to survive against other survivors. I don't think that the concept of nations will be anyone's priority in a world like that.

It may be able to put us back to late 19th century.
Yeah, a lot of people would die, but the death rate wouldn't be any worse than what Mao or Stalin or other commies did.
People still live in Vegas and Hiroshima, places that were hit by or close by to nukes that were much, much dirtier than the nukes that currently exist.
As a human being, I refuse to be frightened into submission by pie-in-the-sky chicken little BS prophecies, like nuclear Armageddon or global warming, the answer to both being more taxes and less freedom for individuals, coincidentally enough.

Too many people in the world anyway and most of them have no table manners, are rude, and downright unpleasant to look at.

Or if it`s a politically inconvenient war the death (Many through starvation lately) and maiming of hundreds and thousands is flat out ignored. As in the case of Yemen`s population. Who`s biggest crime is wanting to be free of criminals masquerading as a government. Why haven't we flown to their aid.
