hostf.xml file (updated with new address: http://DEADHOST.com/hostf.php and latest hostf.xml)
It's basically a zip file, so you can always extract and check the content before installing...

Please see:
For those wishing to use software to download images from galleries.

You can use ImageHost Grabber.

Current Version: 1.7.0.4a

Current hostf.xml: 4/17/17

Support site and downloads are at:

https://imagehostgrabber.com

In regards to FF V > 45, please note Mozilla is forcing changes on extensions!

IHG WILL WORK ON > V45 please see our forum for a quick edit of some settings to activate IHG!

For V56+ Mozilla will NO LONGER ALLOW EXTENSIONS! Only their new "web extensions."

In that case you can use V55, or use alternatives such as PaleMoon, cyberfox, pcxfox, SeaMonkey, TorBrowser etc.. See list of supported browsers at our forum.

Excellent.
I've just updated to your version and all is working brilliantly. Even "Get selected pics on page" is included, which was the main reason I kept the kinda old modified version installed instead of using the official one.

I'll update my post accordingly!

I have no insight unfortunately. After updating Nightly I found IHG disabled with a warning saying that the add-on is not "multiprocess compatible" and a click here for more information link led me to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Add-ons/ShimsNightly where I found the "temporary" solution to make IHG work again.

Hope I could help.

Best,

J4ZZ

MPC /ES10 stuff... is well a way for an extension to be run in threads or multiple processes... Basically right now the way the script is written it can hog things in the browser to the point it just locks up/ freezes.

MPC solves that... in that multiple processes could be run to run the script, the browser window(s) etc...

If you are getting this to work in MPC, that is is interesting, please do keep us advised... as the script was never written for MPC type setups....their shim might fix it for now, but I wouldn't look for that to last. They are notorious for pulling the rug out from under you!

Years ago, hard drive crashes were a common theme. it prolly wasn't that simple, but the theme was still "lost my collection..hard drive crash"

then i thought, what if that happened to me, mechanical drives are mechanical, and mechanical devices do fail, what are my options?....easy peasy...backups, and/or linux can and will see a failed hard drive and get files recovered. i just use a dual boot system with each OS on its own hard drive....so, two hard drives..kind of hard to do if not using a desktop though

just google "recover files from failed hard drive with linux"

I had an old seagate 1tb fail , BIOS error, smart test rejection. so, i went into BIOS and turned off the smart test on start option and viola, a last chance to mount the thing and get the data moved...

i won't trust a seagate HDD again after that..

I just discovered another useful program, good for managing massive files.. the type that the hard drive space challenged are quite aware of...you can use it as an automated resizer, i just got done resizing 250 files that were in the 4 to 5 mb range apiece and it shrank them a user determined percentage automatically and reduced them to around .5 mb after i input 44%. it is best to redirect the resized files into a seperate folder to avoid overwriting until satisfied with the results

it is called faststone photo resizer... i think it is freeware with a purchase option, i installed it on my Vista OS without problems...link below

I can recommend the main base program from these developers. FastStone Image Viewer! This is the best program of this type. I have been using it for 8 years.

For uploading image files I have been using III Uploader (http://hqcity.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=20949) for many years. Yes, the home site is in Russian but its easy to use and has English support. Currently it supports uploads to the following sites (obviously some are not permitted here):

For downloading I used to use the Firefox plugin IHG but when that was disabled I ended up using BilderHerunterlader (http://bilderherunterlader.sourcefor...unterlader/bh4). It comes in browser plugin form for various browsers but I'm using the stand-alone installation. It seems to handle almost all the hosts used here up until now but I have not extensively tested it as I'm not downloading very much anymore.

Any chance to make a small tutorial?
I just tried to upload some images to an imagevenue account but that didn't work.

Default MyMovies App

Hey Guys,
I have been using MyMovies app on Mac OS X for a little over a year. It is a very useful app in organizing your dvd / Blu-Ray collection. It has versions for Mac, Windows, Android phones & tablets and a lot more.

The URL is : http://www.mymovies.dk/

Lately I have been adding hi-res cover scans and data for a lot of the Hot Body and Playboy DVDs in my collection. When I have time, I'll add more to the app.

It's free to use with a buy in option. However if you contribute enough dvd / Blu-Ray info you can have the 50 title limit lifted.

Very easy to use and I highly recommend it for those with large dvd collections. My only regret is having sold a large portion of my DVDs when I converted everything to files.
