Sam Spade-what was the criteria for picking the girls-was it sex appeal, appearance, moments on screen etc?
I forgot to say I received the Roger Moore book Bond on Bond for Christmas-I've just had a glance at it and flipped quickly through the pages and it looks a good read with loads of pictures too. I also received the James Bond-The Secret World of 007 by Dorling-Kindersley which I think is aimed at younger fans but still looks very good with some great picture illustrations.

Bernard Horsfall has died aged 82. What is his link to Bond? He was the mountain climber & spy friend of James Bond(George Lazenby) in On Her Majesty's Secret Service-killed by one of Blofeld's henchmen.

18th February, SKYFALL is out on DVD and Blu-ray. The James Bond 007 Channel is back on SKY channel 310 showing the same films it did two months ago...if you have it keep an eye out for Now Pay Attention 007, an affectionate tribute to the life and work of the late Desmond Llewellyn as 'Q'

News from The Times spotted this morning.
There is a new book which is a complete archive of all James Bond stuff coming this year(September), only snag it will cost a whopping £135 by Paul Duncan which will contain storyboards and tales by cast & crew. However before that a slightly cheaper new novel is expected by a writer I've not heard of, William Boyd.

American Guild awards SKYFALL won for costume.
Dame Shirley Bassey is to sing in a special nod to James Bond 50th Anniversary at the Oscars on Sunday. Daniel Craig is expected to be there, along with Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson but not the other Bonds-honestly you would think that even for that the others would make an effort like Connery, Brosnan, Dalton, Moore and even Lazenby!
