What made vintage porn the "Golden Era" and why it is so celebrated is that it had an "authentic" feel to it. Yeah, there's a script and all, but it didn't feel like that. What really turned me off the other day was a Woodman's video. I kind of like this model : Vicktoria Redd and, even though I knew I don't like this kind of porn, I was curious to see her in this background. But it's the killing of erotism. No situation or story, it's like in the other modern videos but Woodman wants to ad something with dirty talking and harshness. But the talking is repetitive and without imagination, useless according to me. It can be appealing one second to see how girls are surprised of mens' harshness but as it's based on nothing psychological by the proxy of a storyline, it's not so exciting. It's just a reality show. At one point, Vicktoria bleeds and of course they can't stop recording today and I'm not that perverse : it really turned me off !

Hell, where to start..

First - no storyline and in many cases no "build up". Actors arrive on set bollock naked and shaft. He comes on her face - end of story.

Fake moans and groans. I know much of the early stuff was dubbed with this but today all you can hear is scripted screams and moans as yet another wannabe actress takes it up the arse.

False tits. Nothing more to say.

I have also always been a bit bothered by close-ups on men's organs but medium shots are more abundant before 2000, I really miss that. Today's japanese porns are great for that and the imagination in the storyline. And you won't be bothered by anatomic views.

There is an interesting interview of Woodman on dailymotion divided in several videos.
According to him, at the beginning of his career, he received a lot of money from Private and was used to make good porno film.
