I came up the hard way through the clubs and that's just to become some dude in a band that works all the time. Bands like Van Halen, Beatles, and all the great ones paid their dues in shit clubs night after night. These f**king poseur kids who lip sync and can't play will all be gone in a few short years. They suck and I hate them. The burgher joint beckons them. These autotuned cretins along with MTV ruined the music business (already rotten) and turned it into a gay mafia fashion show. You gotta know how to play and pay your dues. In some ways true in everything you do in life. Your band needs chemistry, which you can't get from a computer. Now I'm pissed off.

The post is a bit ambiguous. Do you mean off the stage or based simply on their musical merit?
Also, Id have to factor is this "artist" in it for the one hit wonder, or are they serious career performers.

There's some that encompass both for me like Bruce Springsteen, cant stand his music, cant stand his holier than thou attitude of being the "boss" and condescension toward the working class.

Spice Girls & Oasis because they had delusions way above their talent. Oasis thought they were the next beatles, I mean c'mon. Gerri Halitosis is an ego maniac who was famous for 50 times longer than her 'talent' merited. Thank god they drifted off the scene.

It seems that the vitriol has been lobbed at the usual suspects: i. e. Springsteen, Madonna, Beyonce,' The Stones, The Beatles, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, anything that emanates from those music contests and Disney.

Too many to mention. Lets start off with any of the Beatles/Rolling Stones & chuck in any other artists who have accepted a Sir/KBE/ETC as well as the new breed of cookie cut posh hipster/mockney crowd. The music industry on both sides of the western pond these days is only either made up of kids from money or young wayward thugs on a government handout community arts initiative (to replace the general non gangsta working class kids who are kept out of bands these days by the suits).
I'm sick of looking at & listening to ramblings by hat addict hobo chique ego-nerd camp boys/girls or dem attitude gesturing brrrap, brrrap wannabee hooli's. That's why I try to only find heartfelt non genre music...sadly which is not important any more to most. Guys like Oasis & Kasabian are also massive contradictions as they kind of float between both camps.

If all musicians were a bit more like Seasick Steve then we'd be in a better state
