Don't be
The reason they are the Blues is so they can suffer them Lord knows I've suffered many many many times ..... and expecting them to get real bad about the second weekend of September when it all falls apart But do not ever feel sorry for motorboater

Give a team the kiss of death and you get GOLD COAST has ended its 11-game losing streak with a stunning upset win over Sydney at the SCG. The Suns had never previously beaten the Swans and things didn't look like changing when Sydney kicked six goals to one in the opening quarter. Australianfootball.com site - Virtually every league , club & player from 1897-2018
is an ambitious attempt to create a comprehensive online home for the history, culture, and stats of the great Australian game.
The site showcases a wide range of footy-related content, including profiles of significant players, clubs, and matches, previously published newspaper and magazine pieces (which we have permission to reproduce), current and historical match reports, specially-commissioned articles on key topics, lists, stats, and indeed anything else which falls under the rubric of ‘Australian football’. The site will also tap into the rich vein of knowledge possessed by footy fans across the country (and the world) by creating a community of interest and providing them with a platform to write, share research, comment or otherwise contribute to the corpus of footy knowledge. AFL finals
Its truly bizarre to see the perennial 9th ranked team Richmond
turning football on its head Lack of big marking forwards held the Western Bulldogs back for years but manic defensive pressure all over the ground has made that almost obsolete & dare i say it made them a liability. Seems to happen every 5 years and you never see it coming Unbeaten at the MCG now for 22 games in a row Premiers in 2017 and short priced favourites for 2018 Kudos to Damien Hardwick and the Richmond hierachy for not sacking him after 3 finals campaigns = 3 lamentable lost matches in 7 years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien...ck#2010_season 1st Richmond beats 4th Hawthorn 6th 9 18 Official crowd: 91,446 at the MCG http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2018/24/rich-v-haw 5th Melbourne v 8th Geelong 7th 9 18 http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2018/24/melb-v-geel Last edited by buttsie; September 7th, 2018 at 09:59 AM.. Preliminary Finals
Usually the best games of the finals
The grand final brown nosing parasites who just want to say they've been tend to bypass them Its more for the fans - like the 2010 Grand final replay between Collingwood & St Kilda 94,000 mostly fans from both teams - grand finals only allocate 30,000-40,000 tickets for members of the teams involved https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_A...2_October_2010 The players know its do or die so in reality its a Grand Final to them Richmond in a tough match but same result LAST FIVE TIMES R19, 2018, Richmond 16.9 (105) d Collingwood 12.5 (77) at the MCG R6, 2018, Richmond 16.17 (113) d Collingwood 10.10 (70) at the MCG R2, 2017, Richmond 14.15 (99) d Collingwood 11.14 (80) at the MCG R20, 2016, Richmond 14.8 (92) d Collingwood 11.11 (77) at the MCG R2, 2016, Collingwood 13.9 (87) d Richmond 12.14 (86) at the MCG Richmond (1st-Defending Champions) v Collingwood (3rd) at MCG http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2018/26/rich-v-coll Toss of the coin match given Melbourne have won here in round 22 against a depleted Eagles side...very evenly matched since Melbournes resurgence under Paul Roos & now Simon Goodwin...If they had Hogan & Lever they'd probably be favourites. R22, 2018, Melbourne 16.12 (108) d West Coast Eagles 14.7 (91) at Optus Stadium R14, 2017, Melbourne 15.9 (99) d West Coast Eagles 14.12 (96) at Subiaco Oval R18, 2016, West Coast Eagles 10.6 (66) d Melbourne 8.12 (60) at Subiaco Oval West Coast (2nd at home) V Melbourne (5th) in WA at Optus Stadium http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2018/26/wce-v-melb Last edited by buttsie; September 20th, 2018 at 07:39 AM.. Oh yeah! Hawthorn straight sets and Collingwood to get smashed tomorrow. It'll be a heck of a week for a guy who barracks for Carlton!
Edit: for a guy who goes for Carlton, Everton, Carolina and Penrith Panthers. It was Carlton that was my only team that didn't let me down last week! Last edited by Motorboater; September 20th, 2018 at 12:37 PM.. |

Hawthorn out in straight sets was predictable when they couldnt get all their players fit
They only finished 4th because of how inconsistent 5th to 8th were in the last 3rd of the season Collingwood if they turn the ball over in the 50 like they did against GWS will be tarred and feathered by half time. All previous results round 1-23 plus finals right handside in red titled match centre http://www.afl.com.au/ladder Last edited by buttsie; September 21st, 2018 at 01:59 AM.. Reason: correction |
