If my daughter gets into porn I will just throw my hands into the air and loudly cry "Its all her mothers fault! Don't blame me!"

Seriously, I would counsel against it but if it is something she gets into there is nothing I could do to stop it. I would prefer her getting her degree, finding a nice job, and settling down and getting married.

And no, if she did get into porn I wouldn't be downloading her movies.

If I had a daughter of course I wouldn't want her in the porn world. But as a person who has consumed porn I have no moral ground to stand on.
If she was the legal age and consented to it that would be her choice.

We have a daughter who is close to the age. We trust her judgement. If she made that choice, she would tell us and ask for out counsel.

I would be very surprised if she did anything beyond soft core (Playboy) type stuff. I don't see any harm in that if the activity was a profitable side job.

I know my child and I would have some concern which I would voice to her about the path she could be starting on. She can handle anything that life throws her way - I really believe that.

SHE would be the one doing the exploiting of all of us who like to look at girls. Every child is different but I am not worried about her getting dragged in to something she doesn't want to do. She has, in her serene manner, the strongest possible will power.

So, in summary, I have no problem with it for this particular person.

I don't know this to be true, but I think the great majority of girls who pose are happy well adjusted people and remain that way.

There's that but overall it's the general lifestyle that goes along with porn. (Drugs, partying, prostitution.) If she is smart enough to avoid letting the industry become her lifestyle, she will come out of it unscathed for the most part.

Thanks for the responses! Don't really have anything to say, but enjoy hearing what others think on this subject.

I think the rule is this: Men love porn, but they would be horrified if their own daughters got involved. Which means people who look at porn, such as myself, believe it's okay for other people to suffer degradation and humiliation, just so long as it's not one of their own. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but there's some truth there, too.

Some have said the prospect of their daughter being involved in softcore wouldn't be so bad. I agree. If my daughter just posed for photos it wouldn't be that bad. But much of porn nowadays has a sadistic spirit to it.

Well I don't have any kids ( you're meant to say "not that I know of" after that

) so it won't make me lose any sleep. But lots of girls do see it as a way to make quick money.
