Interesting how most of these stories thinly disguise "you have 15 minutes to pack your shit and get the fuck off of the property" as "she left her job". I imagine there would be a ton of wrongful dismissal lawsuits if this still happens today.

I own an investment company that I inherited and if one of my associates wanted to do a playboy spread I would promote the fuck out of that and she would have clients lined up around the block wanting to be in the same room as her because men think with their dicks so why not use that to our advantage. Anyone that gets all bent out of shape over a classy nude spread I don't want as a client anyway!

That said, some of these women got what they deserved. There are rules of engagement in business that need to be adhered to and rules are rules. Read them before signing in the dotted line...

I can assure you CallMeMaybe that closed mind sexuality is not just an American thing. It is alive and well here in the UK, though many of it's most fervent practitioners tend to have an awful lot of the hypocrite about them.

I'm not sold on that. In the UK they have page 6 and had TV like "the carry on gang" and "benny hill" that were pretty risque way back then just to name a couple. Had they made it's way to the US, all those biblethumpers would have been jumping off buildings or screaming bloody murder. Page 3 was removed thanks to feminist complaints - along with other 'men's' magazines. Carry On and Benny Hill were 'lewd' or 'lascivious' with a lot of innuendo, but not actual sex or nudity (a couple of Carry On's had some topless shots - which began at the end of the 60's).

Throughout the entire period of Page 3, Carry On's and Benny Hill, hardcore pornography was legal in the US but illegal in the UK. You could rent hardcore porn in the 80's, but in the UK hardcore was only legalized (from sex shops) in the 90's. So judging the UK as not prudish for having titillation, when at the same time the US had hardcore doesn't really work.

FYI: Benny Hill was shown in the US in the 80's and was very popular (apparently, very much so with the black community).
