and what's the deal with Sulu and Chekov; they wear matching gear and sit at the helm together, go off on missions together.
even when there's a chance to gun down some aliens you sometimes wonder where the hell they're at
Am I alone on this ??

I'd imagine that you are pretty much alone on this one ZZ , maybe you watch too many modern soaps

This thread can be amusing but I sense the moderator's finger hovering over the 'bin-it' button

Normally I don't get that fast replies to my threads. Sorry for confusing. My Tina Louise thread apologized not all - my pledge is redeemed now. No vanishing threads as of now!

I found TNG boring in consideration of the action in the Star Wars Universe - although the Borgs are a interesting species because they remind me of the Strogg in the game Quake II - but if I would have to decide between Star Trek and Star Wars I would chose .... Alien I - III.
Patrick Stewart a few episodes of TNG and the First Contact:

The Next Generation - Locotus the borg
First contact - nice war with borg queen

Alien series: the best - Alien 4 the resurrection

Now: AVP 2

Space the final frontier.............. these are the voyages of the USS Enterprise its five year mission, to seek out new worlds and civilizations and to go where no man has gone before.. changed in STNG to its continuing mission to seek out new worlds and civilizations. Not that I am a fan.............................. " Love Star Trek "....................... yes I am weird.

Of course, you can "do your own thing" and need not change your preferred ways on account of me. It's just that I think spontaneity and that very first post is typically the best one. If minor editting needs to be done, then so be it.

It's just my belief that constantly reviewing, editing, changing, having second thoughts, deleteing posts altogether, etc, kinda sucks the life right out of posting & a messageboard. Take me for instance...there are several times that I have made a complete asswipe out of myself in a post. However, I apologized or cleared up any misinformation/mistake and moved on.

I like to leave the "mistakes" there for the most part as I believe that if one has "decent" or rational/equitable beliefs & intentions, but happens to make a mistake(s), but ultimately explains/acknowledges that mistake in a later post(s), all is cool plus there is a really cool thread left behind (ie a thread that doesn't entail rs.com links that are still alive I mean...they are THE BEST).

So there it is: my side of the practice of post shuffling/deleting. Also I again say (the obvious, but not to patronize....just want to be crystal clear) what/how you post/edit/delete is your business and perogative....I don't really mind it as I just like to kid around alot....PLUS no matter what happens we'll always have Tina Louise. Cheers!

Happy Holidays btw & Regards

Yes, the late sixties - when pretty young females were seen as sexual playthings

Thank goodness those attitudes have changed

Always been a fan of the original series, but the others just aren't as much fun. Watching the various, beautiful women guest stars is like finding a 1965 issue of Spree or Follies magazine! It may be uncool by today's standards... but hey, who comes here to be PC anyway? ;-)
