The way that PM May is talking about a no deal BREXIT sounds more like we should be preparing for war-start hoarding food and building your shelters now!

This hoaxer Anna Shapiro was apparently on BabeStation BSX once. I cannot think why anyone would want to exploit something so terrible as happened in Salisbury but then I remembered those individuals who defrauded the council claiming to be survivors of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Just shows that people will do anything for money even from a major crisis like that-despicable!

Windy and wet again today, noticed the violent movement of some trees in our area but thankfully nowhere near any attics.
Good weekend all.

Reading a volume of "The Scots" magazine from 1781, I come across this extraordinary marriage announcement from August, a remarkable "robbing the cradle with one foot in the grave" match . . . one wonders whether there was still any power in Mackenzie's musket . . .

Quote:
[August] 14. At Glasgow, James Mackenzie, aged 99 years, to Janet Russel, aged 16.

He was 33 years of age at the battle of Sheriff-muir, in 1715 : he afterwards ſerved in the Royals till 1740, and was draughted into Douglas's regiment of marines, and with it went to Carthagena, where he was wounded, and came to Scotland. In 1745, he served in the castle of Edinburgh as a supernumerary during the siege: In 1746, he went into the Scots Fuzileers, and was at the battle of Culloden. He afterwards went to Flanders, where he was again wounded, and now is a pensioner of the 5th regiment of marines.

Cosby goes to prison.

Hopefully they will put him in general population so someone can gang rape him and then cut him open.

In this video, he was going beyond undressing Sophia Vergara with his eyes.

I don't know the Scot's situation, but in the U.S. military pensions have always had a benefit payable to surviving widows ("spouses" for the last 30 years or so) regardless of the time of the marriage, so he would be leaving the young lady a significant lifetime income.

There is a lady alive today who still collects a pension from the American Civil War.

I saw that too. Some things are just too unreal to be true -- is it faked?

Hard to say-but Kaikoura is a whalewatching mecca-and there are numerous seal colonies up and down the coast nearby-even to the extent that the state highway (SH1) has road signs warning motorists to keep an eye out for seals crossing)-so interactions between kayackers and seals might not be infrequent....that being said, a seal lobbing a perfectly usable octopus away does seem a bit unbelievable-but where you get lots of tourists, the local wildlife behaviour is not exactly typical.....
