Smile Problem with printing up photos from Imagebam..solved

Hi This is trailmaster, Several months ago I had and still have trouble printing up the enlargements from thumbnail photos from various sites using Imagebam. I have solved this problem. It could be a problem with my computer. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 ( 6 years old ).

Below all photos posted by Imagebam are several boxes. When I move the mouse so the cursor is over one of the boxes it says "SAVE" When I left click on SAVE the photo begins to download to my Windows download file. After the download is finished I go to the download file and left click on the file. The photo is then transferred to the Windows Photo Gallery where I can then print the photo in any of three sizes. After printing I delete the photo from the gallery and the download file.

December 11, and Pimp and Host is having another slow day. Many thumbnails missing, and image downloads timing-out.

I uploaded a 35 image, low resolution set this morning. It was slow, and took forever for the thumbs and images to display properly in my P&H account. Thumbs showing up well at VEF, but images not downloading very quickly.

I'm so tired of checking older threads and seeing missing thumbnails.
I re-upload them, then a day or so later, there are 2 of the same pic.
It's hard to know what's really not there, or just a server error...

Whenever experiencing any type of problems with imgbox I would suggest notifying their Help forum. I have always found imgbox to be one of the few hosts who will often reply back you, and act upon to remedy the problem within a timely manner when notified.

Just checking some old (and new) posts and see quite a few pics have vanished.
A problem, since I usually don't save my scans (and their sometimes extensive retouching.)

I just had the strangest problem with ImageBam. I always use the 180x180 option for thumbnail size. I looked at my last post and ImageBam had replaced the short dimension with the large dimension, resulting in much larger thumbnails than I actually posted. Moderators should be aware that if they see too large thumbnails coming from IB, it isn't necessarily the poster's fault. Rather than borrow trouble I just replaced the images. Hopefully I'm the only the person this strange problem happened to.

I have use Imagebam mainly, supplemented by Imagevenue when IB bans an image or whatever. This has worked for me for years.

These two hosts seem to be the best - but they have various issues periodically.

You just have to put up with a certain level of random chaos. I hope that this info helps others.

What I find perplexing is that quite often when reading the various problems posted here which some members are experiencing with certain hosts, I don't find myself experiencing those problems.
That leaves me to wonder if their problem(s) are host related, or their computer/system related, or somewhere in between.
