Olympics and Fifa both with HQs in Switzerland, therefore piles of dosh spent on swanky hotels and hospitality to the countries economic benefit., and both bodies mired in corruption. Will the Swiss regulate them?, will they f*ck, they might take their business elsewhere.

When the Thalidomide scandal surfaced it was because a whistleblower revealed that the manuifacturers, Hioffman La Roche, had failed to carry out all of the necessary testing- and this on a medicine being given to pregnant women. As a result the whistleblower was jailed!!!. It was ( and perhaps still is) against Swiss criminal law to breach an employers confidentiality. Needless to say no one from Hoffman La roche was ever jailed -malformed babies presumably being less of a concern than the need to maximise profitability in Switzerland.

Thousands of Jewish relatives of holocaust victims were frustrated at every turn by the Swiss Banks, aided and abetted by the couintries regulators, when trying to seek return of assets. How careless of those holocaust victims not to keep their passbooks.

There were many bullies in middle school and high school who deserved a severe beating, and maybe after they went to prison in adult life, they got beaten up after all. That's if they survived the male-on-male rape in U.S. prisons; now you know why they call it "the pokey". )

But there is one guy who recently terrorized me at my last job, who is a Marine Reservist and about six inches taller than me. During a simple argument over a toppled Stove Top stuffing display, he cursed at me, spit on me, and shoved me into the trailer we were unloading. Our supervisor eventually disciplined him for this, but he might still be working at the store these days...??? He also had a friend who was extremely opinionated, basically a redneck kid with sexist and possibly racist views.

So if I could have one day to beat up anyone, I would get some bludgeoning weapons and go to my former workplace and cause a few OSHA violations. The more grisly aspects might be broken jaws, knocked-out teeth, and even a pool or two of blood.

It would be payback for the Marine Reservist, who once pretended he was Batman, and who would repeatedly tell me "I'll kill you"...?!?!?!

I recently worked in the opposite of a Hell's Kitchen setting: a kitchen at the non-profit organization that is now trying to help me find a new job, in a professional office setting rather than a brutally physical loading dock job.

The kitchen I worked in was a rather nice operation, with a Midwestern American guy for chef who had Canadian in-laws with great recipes, who decided that we would make a shepherd's pie for the 35-40 people who'd be at lunch that day. The only two experiences remotely like Hell's Kitchen was stirring two humongous pans of ground beef for 10-15 minutes each, and washing an enormous assortment of dirty dishes for 30-45 minutes. But I was rewarded with a free lunch of shepherd's pie and all the extras, like 50 cent Classic Coke and 50 cent Snickers for dessert. Not bad for about three hours' work total.

I do think it's funny that a woman would have the "balls" (or ovaries?) to slap Gordon in the face, though.

When I was straight out of high school in 1995, and had no job experience, I had to take a job as a telemarketer for the AirTite Window Company. The pay was good at about $7.00 USD back then, but the job was horrific. I got to call people as they were just getting home for dinner, and yes, I did get cursed out more than once by angry people. I felt so bad about doing this that I didn't last at that job but three whole weeks.

The last job that I (unknowingly) took as a telemarketer was in 1999, for a company called Tel-A-Sell Marketing. The name should have put me off to working there immediately, but I was told at the beginning that this would be a "political job" where instead of selling products, you call people up to get them to vote for a candidate. I had done phone surveying work for the libertarian/conservative Hillsdale College of Michigan once before, so I assumed that it would be a similar job. Unfortunately, calling people up to repeat a word track and then hang up on them really doesn't qualify as political persuasion. I decided I didn't want to work that job after about 90 minutes there, but when I got out to the parking lot where they told everyone to park, my car had been towed. I spent $100 getting my car back.
