Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water
I'm a Black Night person myself.

I can't stand that weird song "Killer Queen" by the band Queen. It has too many tempo changes and the lyrics are seemingly used in place of music from instruments.
I prefer "Queen Of The Reich" by Queensr˙che, myself... |

Sure you all have a station that does this hit over and over...going into 2018, classic hits.
Try this on for size..lol. I can not stand " Laya " by Clapton, fuck it is the most simple song with the fucking longest ending, just goes on and on, I masturbate to my goddess Sabrina just as much...hours, days more!

Bohemian Rhapsody is more annoying than having a carload of other peoples' snotty, whining kids while you're stuck in an interminable traffic jam. God, I hate that cacophony! |

If you saw my all time list some of you would burst out laughing!
Just read through this thread and was going OK until the late great Max pulled out Alone by Heart - A mate of mine lambasts me to having no taste at all in music. Mind you he likes Willie Nelson so he's not perfect either! I must admit I am different in that I have a series of over 250 songs which I have downloaded an MP3 for over the years and have several playlists depending on the mood. In that list there is a maximum of about 7 songs by Bee Gees and Neil Diamond but most of the others 1 maybe 2 - I tend to cherry pick songs from artists/bands rather than liking/disliking them totally.
So of the ones mentioned: Bohemian Rhapsody is on my list along with Won't get fooled again which is probably about No 3 Love it. AC/DC Its a long way to the top - Brilliant especially the film clip of them doing it on the back of a tray truck down centre of Melbourne in about 1974 or whenever it was - one of the few songs that bagpipes work for. I am Scottish on my mother paternal side and for some reason I detest bagpipes. I can hear some of you saying hope he's a better mod than a music critic cause he's shite at that!. Never liked Dire Straits - ES highlighted a song called We built this city - we agree it's awful - I have a category called 10 minutes on the toilet in which I think there are songs when someone went to the shitter - top of of the list George Harrison - Got my mind set on you - if it comes on the radio I switch the radio off. Obviously as one on the thread pointed out we are all different and therefore will have different likes. Someone mentioned Black Night which I like better than Smoke. The Strolling Bones have done huge when you consider the last time that had serious high end chart activity - that said I have about 3 of theirs and a couple of the Beatles and even a Ringo song in there. Stairway to Heaven is not on the list. Getting back to Alone with Heart I have a series of saved images of Lisa Welch who is my favourite bunny and when I want a pick me up, I start the slide show with Alone playing in the background - How sad is that? Also got a couple of U2 in there but again don't like all of theirs and I do laugh at the joke about Bono and everytime I clap someone dies. Last edited by Richandy; February 13th, 2022 at 05:34 AM.. I can't stand:
*Hotel California *Smoke on the Water *Hooked on a feeling *Stairway to Heaven *Picture (Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow) drove me bonkers although in more recent times *many more but these are off the top of my head Some bands/artists very overrated and some of the better ones never even came close to being inducted into hall of fame like Nazareth |

Jewel did a cover of it for a film and I reckon it's much better the Lynard Skynard and I can't stand theirs but Jewels I love. I also love Jewel
