Hang with Hef or the Gooch?
If you could have hung out with either of them in their primes, in the 70's and 80's, which one would have been more fun, and being around which would you have gotten more action yourself?

Hef. I always thought he was cooler than Bob. I thought his magazine was cooler than Bob's. I thought his models were prettier than Bob's.
Hef. Definitely. I probably would not have gotten laid regardless of which one I hung out with. If I could just have gotten close enough to Janet Lupo to smell her I'd have been happy. |

Personally, I'd hang with Hef. How could you beat being in the Mansion during its glory days?

Just as an FYI, Hef never hung out with Marilyn Monroe. She was in L. A. when he was publishing the magazine in Chicago. All of her pix he published were bought from 3rd parties, and she died long before he moved to Mansion West.

To be honest both of them made my skin crawl, but having once seen an interview Guccione gave around the time of Caligula, I'd have to choose Hefner as the slightly lesser of two creepies.

I reckon there was more drugs and general bad behaviour at Hefner's place in the 70's so that's where I'd be heading.
According to Sheila Kennedy's book there weren't a lot of fleshy shenanigans at Guccione's house in New York. |

The Gooch sounds more like a very nasty venereal disease from the tropics. Personally I'd of stuck with Bob....
