Should Man Utd win, will Koeman be the next managerial casualty?

de Boer gets the boot. But the players never get any recriminations when they miss simple oppurtunities as Scott Dann did.
Awful afternoon yesterday. Granted Manchester Cuty played well but teams need to be more positive against them and not try and play containment because they will get battered. What I do find ironic is how Blues fans always used to moan that their Red neighbours spent their way to the title season after season. Which is exactly what many teams like PSG, Manchester City and others are doing. No more trying to build a team and develop an ethos. I would like to see how Guardiola would do at a so called middling team. Are these managers really world class ? Or just happen on teams with the biggest budgets or indeed a certain Lionel Messi. Not to mention Blues fans moaning about officials. One offside goal and a penalty not given to us albeit it would have been a consolation. I think it's pretty sad to see what used to be giants of the European game like Feyenoord and Celtic trampled by financial muscle. And sad to see fans of the super rich clubs forgetting what football used to be about. We in our own turn used to be running with the dogs. No doubt teams like Swindon, Carlisle and the like who we used to tangle with for most of our history see us in the same light as we see Manchester City albeit we don't spend as much. Although we owe our position primarily to Graham Taylor that we are where we are. If footballing bodies could I think they should introduce spending caps. Otherwise competition will purely revolve who can spend the most and amass the biggest squads. |

Graham Taylor
The idolisation of Graham Taylor - ex Watford,ex-Villa, ex-Wolves, ex-England etc.... is now being questioned.
His alleged 'cover-up' of a known paedophile at Villa, are causing many of their fans to question his rights in their establishment of 'LEGENDS' Whilst it has no real bearing on Watford, atmo ~ the supression of reports and complaimts about a reported paedophile by Turner whilst at Villa can have a Knock-On affect. If those fans succeed in whitewahing their history, as they want, what would Watford do about their biggest icon alongside Sir Elton ? Not a dig...just a serious question. Villa played Watford in a pre-season TESTAMENT to Taylor. R.I.P They wanted an annual festival, with Watford, until the latest Intelligence leaked from the Inquiry. What he did was cover-up and "advise" the complanants to keep quiet. Employed the convicted paedophile for 2 more years..... The Parliamentary investigation could probably cause more problems ... villa fans realise that and want to eradicate Taylor from their history. Do the Watford fans feel any unease ? |

I cannot help but think if "Woy" has done the same home work on City that he did on Iceland Arbroath's record feat could be in serious trouble.
