I remember the days of pub strippers in the 70s very well and very fondly. There were three pubs I used to visit very frequently with my mate. The Lansdowne near Camden Town/Regents Park, The Admiral Nelson in Holloway and the Falcon in Camden Town.

I remember when they all had gogo dancers which quickly turned into topless gogo and ended up as striptease within about a year. There were several strippers on the circuit in the Lansdowne and I remember three in particular, a fairly stauesque French girl who was famous for getting it all off in her first set and spending most of her second nude but she never got very explicit. The second one was a fairly rough old dog although I should say she was pretty buff in her day. She was a sort of novelty act and she did one extraordinary set when she came on in a half devil costume where she was nude on the right hand side but dressed up as the devil on her left. Very strage and one of the least sexy dances I ever saw. I was saw her knee a skinhead in the balls for calling her a fat old tart. Serve him right, she might have been a tart but she wast fat. The third one was a beautiful brunette Canadian girl. She got fairly naughty and she had a pretty voluminous bush. I loved these shows in the Lansdowne although it was a pretty crap pub.

In the early days of topless gogo there was a stunning young brunette who was a great dancer, the lads took up a collection to get her to strip completely and she got down to just a scarf which she held between her legs, she was obviously tempted by the money in the jug and she looked over to the compere who very firmly said no, so she didn't strip fully. However a few months later I saw her again in the Falcon in Camden Town which was a better pub. Here she was doing a real full strip routine including inserting a bottle and holding her pussy open. I used to go to a couple of strip pubs - the Queen Anne in Vauxhall, and the Flying Scotsman in Kings Cross - both no longer operating unfortunately.

According to this article it's French Sylvie.

Long time London based dancer French Sylvie who has been a favourite on the pub scene for over 10 years is I understand returning to France permanently, though she still intends to return work in London occasionally. Sylvie’s probably best known as the stripper used in the 1998 Guy Richie film “ Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” but is a very popular regular at Rainbow and Entertease strip pubs.

She's also mentioned in what looks like a long reminiscence about the London strip pub scene, not read it in full yet but it looks good.

Sylvie is a blonde, slim, French girl from Lyon who these days for some reason only seems to work at the Flying Scot and the Sports Bar. She has a very nice personality and appeared in the film "Lock, Stock, and 2 smoking barrels".
