Nancy Malone Biography Born March 19, 1935 in Queens Village, Long Island, New York, USA Died May 8, 2014 in Duarte, California, USA (pneumonia that arose from complications attributed to leukemia) Birth Name Ann Maloney Height 5' 2" (1.57 m) Nancy Malone was born on March 19, 1935 in Queens Village, Long Island, New York, USA as Ann Maloney. She was an actress and director, known for Naked City (1958), Capricorn One (1977) and The Long, Hot Summer (1965). She died on May 8, 2014 in Duarte, California, USA. Trivia (9) In 1976, she became the first female vice-president of television at 20th Century Fox. She won an Emmy Award for producing Bob Hope: The First 90 Years (1993) and was nominated for Emmy Awards for directing episodes of Sisters (1991) and The Trials of Rosie O'Neill (1990). Television actress, principally in guest roles from the 1950s to 1970s, who moved into producing and directing in the 1980s and 1990s. Trained at the Actor's Studio under Stella Adler. Studied ballet under Nora Kaye. Chosen by Life magazine for their 10th anniversary anniversary cover at the age of ten as "The Typical American Girl". Started acting from the age of seven, appearing in commercials. On Broadway by the age of fifteen. Malone taught acting and directing at UCLA, the Piscator Institute of New York, the Pasadena's Art Center College of Design, the National University of Ireland, Galway; the Stella Adler Academy; Women in Film; and the American Film Institute. She joined Tomorrow Entertainment as a story analyst in 1971 and established Lilac Productions in 1975 to produce TV films. During the 1980s Malone completed the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women and began her directing career. Was an expert horsewoman. Alumna of Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
