It is not they are being SJW about gay marriage as much as they are worried about the venue being able to hold events cause they know sponsors will be worried about having their name associated with an anti-gay bigot and the possible backlash it may cause. Understand completely...

Default Chick-fil-A need to open up some locations down under quick

Ben & Jerry’s Australia has banned two scoops of the same ice cream flavour together at their 26 stores nationwide. The ice cream-maker aims to drive a message in support of same-sex marriage in the country.

The company is hoping to speed up the legislation of marriage equality laws in Australia. The Liberals wanted to hold a plebiscite on the issue, but it was blocked by the Senate in November. The Opposition and LGBTI groups argued that the plebiscite would not only subject the gay and lesbian community to cruelty, exploitation and condemnation.

Furthermore, the result of the plebiscite wouldn’t be binding as MPs could still vote it down in the Parliament. With the plebiscite put down, advocate groups now push for Parliamentary votes to settle the issue once and for all.

Surely two scoops of the same ice cream flavour would be more in keeping with their agenda of promoting the marriage of two people of the same sex, than any other combination of ice cream flavours?

So I'll ask for 3 .... me , someone else and a midget

That Gay Thing here complete farce

Last election, the elected government clearly stated it at least wanted a non binding plebiscite, the opposition just want parliament to vote on it. The opposition leader who just a few short years back supported a plebiscite now don't want one, what changed in between, gays are still gays, there were then and are now, they haven't changed, The only thing that changed is how votes in elections here are cast and then re distributed, we use the preferential system, the opposition are after the green votes That's why it's a farce.

Personally I couldn't give a damn if it were law or not, makes zero difference to me, but it's bullshit something of this magnitude is turned into a political football.

What changed is the money. You got a couple of CEOS and billionaire hedge fund mangers and they have lobbyists, add to that the multinationals that cannot be seen associated with any form of bigotry and that is the pressure behind the marriage equality movement. Basically whenever you see a business doing some political correctness you better believe there is a financial angle involed...

Very true, Qantas is one of ours very big on that. I actually respect companies that express no views at all more than those that do leaning either way on Gay Marriage. I hate the way activist and lobby groups of both sides of an argument treat everyone like fools and pawns to sway opinions ... whatever happened to let people use their own mind Oh yeah, money and control

The lunacy at US colleges soars ever higher . A professor who is in his own words "deeply progressive" , dares to suggest that white students being forced off campus might be problematic . The result ? an outbreak of mass hysteria with the college being occupied by a mob , all due to the professors 'racism' and the 'danger' to the snowflakes of colour .

Bottom line: You cannot be upsetting the customers. These days schools in the US rely more and more on tuition and less on government funds. This goes for both public and private institutions. So when the students make demands the school is in less of position to say no. One of those side effects of privatization they always seem to leave out...
