I have, but that only partially explains it because sometimes there is a lot of water. It's thought there may be underground aquifers from the local river (Yass?) but a guy from MacQuarrie Uni told me it's still not fully understood.

Besides, I'd rather like it to keep its mystery and keep us guessing.

It is true, and I have observed this phenomena going on for the last year. I think the reason is that when a mod or supermod makes this last post , then when another member pulls up his thread subscription page all of the last posts for popular threads show up with either the name of a mod or supermod. It's because mods and supermods are insecure. They want everyother member to see all of their posts, to go to their threads.
