My dad used to have wafers from our local ice cream man but when he had a "99" one (with a flake) he always had the Flake seperate, because the ice cream man, who was Italian and called Carlo, used to put the Flake in the wafer and therefore you got less ice cream, but still paid more.

I miss the Cabana bar a tripical mix of coconut and cherry. Delicious

Yes - that was certainly a "thing" in the sixties.

Heated debate over the weekend about the term "sherbet dab". The younger among us insisted it was a "sherbet dip dab" and that we oldies had lost our memories.

It seems those pesky kids are technically correct (bah! ) but we maintain that simply sherbet dab was the common colloquial term. What say you?
