At 37 years old am I too old to be wearing a T-shirt with a Transformers logo on it?
What if I told you I had THREE of them, would that help? |

The Day The Anvil Hat Wear Saved The Earth
You mean those 'historical documents' of 2-dimensional life on Earth?
Yeah, I kinda miss those 'concussions-are-good-for-you' days. I would wager that aliens receiving transmissions of our cartoons while on their way to invade the Earth might execute a tight u-turn after determining we were impervious to blunt force trauma. |

A Pinker Shade of Pride

He told me he was looking for an old t-shirt for a dirty job and that is what he found. My bad for not taking it with me when I moved out. Then again, how many guys can say they shared a Pink Floyd t-shirt with their dad? |

I'm so childish that when my wife and I were on a tour of a beautiful 19th century mansion recently I kept whispering unfunny jokes to her about the lady of the house being unable to receive guests due to being still occupied on the enormous crapper*, to give my wife the 'inappropriate giggles' (when something isn't funny but you have to laugh because you know you mustn't) so that everyone kept turning around and looking at her, at which point I would shake my head and give her a censorious look too.
Kept that going for about 2 hours. *(eg, Guide: "This is where the lady of the house would be able to see any guests approaching so that she could be ready to receive them." Me: *whispering to wife* "Then she'd shout 'I can't come now, I'm ont shitter with my copy of the Sun'" etc). |

Thankfully, dismissiveness is nectar to my micro ego
Quote:
I stand armed and ready, Max, to hit the Thanks button for post numbers 1 & 15...if you can kindly explain them to this dense dinklewad. First, I'm ashamed that I don't understand them. Then, I get shamed for not thanking allusions I didn't understand (but still got so inspired by the thread I forgot to thank the understandable ones). Now, I shamefully expose my intellectual and cultural deficiencies by publicly asking the Joker to explain his t-shirt and Rubik's Cube allusions. One of the few comforts in this brouhaha is the small satisfaction I derive from not diluting the sincerity of my Thanks by offering it for jokes that went 'whoosh' over my head (encountering far too little friction from the far too few hairs which still make camp there). --- I'm so childish, I'm going to return to the topic to spite all those people who are ridiculing this thread... I'm so childish, I have been known to sneak up to our closed front door, put my mouth to the crack, and make a loud 'bzzzzzzzzzzzzz' sound while my daughter and our neighbors' daughter are chatting on the other side of it. They're both afraid of bees, so I consider this my fatherly 'bee fear therapy'. When I hear them scream, I switch to the peep hole lens in the door so I can watch them run, zig-zagging across the front yard with arms valiantly attempting to bat away the non-existent bees. I never get tired of that one. |
