I have to agree with other critics it's a slow burn...but not terrible just finished episode 3 my brother
and others keep saying it picks up big time after episode 6

The Walking Dead season 7 episode 14 rundown:

The concept of this programme is brilliantly simple. Cheeky cockney car salesman Mike Brewer goes in search of old/oldish classic motors, haggles the price with the vendor, and excitedly purchases the car. He then takes it back to the garage where Ed China (yes, that's his name) expertly repairs them to a very high standard. The car is then sold on for, hopefully, a nice tidy profit.

China's, that's our Ed btw, mechanical expertise is absolutely brilliant - and combine that with Brewer's effervescence and you have a easy to follow marvellous show. Series 11 comes out on DVD this month.

Ed 'me old' China has left this show because the new production company is no longer interested in the details of his engineering.

The Walking Dead--Season 7 Finale.

--Okay. It's official. Beam me up, Sasha.
--WAR. What is it good for? Higher ratings. The last two episodes of this season outdrew the NCAA Tournament among 19-49 year old males.
--There is a lot of deviation from the comics going on. Yet the writers of the GN contribute to the show. I guess it makes sense. There's always a surprise. Like those fucking Scavenger assholes.
--Not as many crucial deaths as I'd imagined. Something tells me the writers are gearing us up for Season 8.
--The tables are turned. For now. But if my gut feeling, and my buddy at work's profound love of comics, means anything, the good guys are in for a long and painful struggle.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is getting good again after a slow start.
A Child of Our Time has been fascinating, an experiment which followed 24 kids from birth to teenage over a period of 17 years from 2000 onwards. We've seen them grow up, develop personalities, cope with trauma or personal upheavals like divorces etc AND see how they turn into young adults. It is not like the other televisual experiment that start in the 70's keeping an eye on several kids over 7 year periods called 7-UP! and then subsequently following them through child and adulthood and beyond. I think the last one was 56 Up.

When i hear the word War used with reference to the TWD i just roll my eyes

The producers not happy with double the ratings of any other show
have to build the story up to heights it can never reach.

Aside from Daryl blowing up a small squad of saviours with a bazooka
The Governor finding his own Tank its mostly machine/hand guns/rifles,sticks and knives
- not forgetting the smoke bombs.

Its meant to be an emotional roller coaster not an out and out action series.

Black Sails, Game of thrones & Vikings have conflicts that grow into real Wars


Black Sails season 4 probably the pick for best action/drama series given its not trying to launch season 5 - just tell the story to the ending as 4 is its last season.

The Last Kingdom series 2-unlike Game of Thrones this is actually based on fact and British history but it is pretty gory in places. I must admit the main character of Uhtred sounds a bit like the Swedish chef from The Muppets but it is good fare for a Thursday night on BBC2.
