you don't have to buy, there are a lot free in VEF
but yeah maybe HD ones (vintage) are rarely sharing in here. however ive never seen vintage films in HD quality.

There are plenty of options out there if you do a bit of searching. Try searching on one of your favorite titles and see what comes up. Video On Demand might be an option for you if you don't mind paying for your stuff. As Candela points out there are a few Bluray vintage HD releases and some of the most popular classics have also been remastered and re-released. But most of the so-called HD movies you see from the 80s and 90s on the net are just upscaled movies by cash posters to bypass forum rules/earn some extra cash by split archives. So don't be fooled. Higher resolution doesn't necessarily mean higher quality!

As someone who is seriously interested in film, I have found that there are many fraudsters who have taken a copy of a film and repackaged it as HD and sold it as 'digitally remastered' and also in 'HD' when in fact it is nothing of the sort.

Anyone who knows about restoring films will tell you it is a painstaking process, even with the latest digital technology. I don't usually watch extras on a DVD, but one of the most fascinating was how a film - I think it was a Spanish or Italian horror film - was completely restored from the master tape. Very time consuming!

'Digitally remastered' and 'HD' are two completely separate terms. It is worth noting that while better definition can added to a film by digitally remastering it, it does not technically make it as 'HD' as a film in high definition should be shot by HD cameras.
