small precision
black pudding is not as blood,
but offal with blood, and prepared
it is delicious, we eat it at home
often accompanied by red cabbage with apples
and potatoes, of course it is a winter dish,
plate-like light, if you know what I mean

I love watching people eat that for the first time, not kids who were born here, but an adult from overseas They all make the same mistake.
They'll spread the toast so thick with it that it overpowers. The trick is too only put a very little bit, and I mean very little bit.

I actually tried this when I was in Australia. I had been warned about it, but when in Rome....

Not bad, not nearly as bad as I has been lead to believe.

Now limburger cheese, that's some foul stuff.

Addendum. From Wikipedia:

Once [limburger cheese] reaches three months, the cheese produces its notorious smell because the bacterium used to ferment Limburger cheese and many other smear-ripened cheeses is Brevibacterium linens, the same one found on human skin that is partially responsible for body odor and particularly foot odor.

Marmite potatoes are brilliant. Cube the potatoes as per farmhouse ones, par boil and the roast. Just before serving put a very little bit of marmite (teaspoon no more) into the pan with the cubed hot spuds. Give it all a good stir and serve. Bliss.

I never had it. Maybe it's just incredibly delicious?

(Without peanut butter, of course..)

I tried Spam once and I can't complain about the taste as it had none. It was just this thick gelatinous glob on some bread. I tried adding spices and sauces but it still just tasted like a glob with spices and sauce.

A relative who had served in WWII told me they saved the mystery goo on the top of the spam then placed it back into the empty tins as it would burn for a good long time. They ate the spam only because they went hungry otherwise.

Just like internet spam it never really goes away, it just hides in a dark corner and multiplies. There are now a dozen 'flavours' one of which is 'Porktastic' another is 'Stinky French Garlic'. Bon Appetit!

except what I put in a previous post
(Survival training)

(I hope to offend anyone -
matter of taste and culture)

the worst thing I had to eat, is an African dish made with rice
fish and chicken, fish like chicken must be gamy ,
which gives off a smell not engaging (and I'm nice) and rice
the consistency of a cross between the glue and of the chewing gum
all decorated with bananas, peppers and you scorched the hair of the feet
( not to mention the rest of the day after passing through customs is
"Complicated" ),
very bad memory, so bad that I quickly forgot the name of this dish .
