Couple of observations on Hef vs Guccione:
Hef was a repressed midwest Protestant overcoming the weight of his moral tradition . . . he really was a "revolutionary" in terms of where he came from. Guccione was culturally Italian (born in Brooklyn), a painter -- there was nothing "forbidden" about naked chicks for him, no revolution in saying "the body is nice to look at" |

Sorry. Can't do that. I would betray a trust and cause problems for this person. And I'd give up my own anonymity (to certain individuals), which we all have the right to enjoy on this site.
If I have to name the source in order to be believed then don't believe me. Don't matter me to me. Nobody is all bad - I am sure Hitler's cat loved him - Guccione had much to be admired and envied in business and personal life, but as a human being he was a Priceless Cu^t. |

Look what I found! This was not my source, but the NY Times should satisfy doubters and 'officially' back up that Guccione was a blackmailing sleaze scumbag criminal.............
http://www.nytimes.com/1990/10/24/ny...ment-case.html "A former model for Penthouse magazine was awarded more than $4 million in punitive damages in State Supreme Court in Manhattan yesterday for the sexual harassment inflicted on her by her onetime lover, Robert Guccione, the magazine's publisher"............... ..............."Ms. Thoreson, 37 years old, also testified that Mr. Guccione had ordered her to carry on an affair with his financial adviser so he would move to the United States from England. She said she broke off the relationship because it appeared that the adviser, Gerald Kreditor, was going to leave his wife and four children. The judge strongly criticized Mr. Guccione in his ruling. "Sexual slavery was not a part of her job description," he said, adding that Mr. Guccione "forced her to safeguard her employment by sacrificing her body." ...."In doing so," he said, "she surrendered one of the most private and intimate aspects of her personal liberty." |

Ms. Thoreson was none other than Anneka Di Lorenzo, the lovely girl who performed so well in Caligula (Bordello Blowjob Scene). She actually was awarded just $1. |

Anneka Di Lorenzon AKA Anneka Vasta AKA Marjorie Thoreson also ended up dead in mysterious circumstances......... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...n_1029489.html If she only got $1 then Gooch was probably not behind it. If it was for the full amount of $4M then I would not have put that past him! It seems that most who got too close to him (some I have known and many I've heard of and not known) found themselves a lot worse off for it.
