A very bad pint of beer. I only managed two sips before I had to complain. The replacement was only slightly better.

If any of you met me in person, you would know that I am nobody's definition of a picky eater. That said here's a few:

1. Calf's liver --disgusting. I can't eat it. Duck, goose, chicken, no problem.

2. tripe --either pork or beef. I'm not eating stomach.

3. vegemite --Marmite is okay. Vegemite is where I draw the line.

4. testicles --don't care where they're from. This is one food I have never tried. Those who have told me it's not great. I'll leave the mountain oysters to the others.

5. Haggis --never had it, not really sure people eat the stuff. Maybe somebody can shed a light on this.

Otherwise, I'm typically down for anything. I like a few things mentioned in other's list. i.e. brussel sprouts.

Do you mean, teachers or fatty / old women who obliges you to eat the disgusting school's food ? And finally you get almost traumatized for the life ?

If yes, then yes. Like Scoundrel, I did not dare to taste or eat it ever again. Even if people said it can be very well done if it's goodly cooked. Tongue's cow, it's nop.

And as Scoud', I got the same punishment. You do not end your plate or did not eat enough of it ? Ok, you are obliged to wait while the others are playing outside. WORSE, it comes a moment when the kids (the primary school, the first year's school kid, dunno how you name it in english) come... and you've to eat with them.

Is it our freaking fault if they dunno cooking ? Or if they don't know how to chose the right food to give us ?
Seriously, it is not difficult to eat healhty and cheap huh... oh and with a good taste also. It's crazy how good they are to waste their meal. For example : the starter, like eggs. Only few people doesn't like eggs ! It's good, eggs. Even without mayo, hard boiled eggs is fine. But no, they'll oblige you to eat them with a fuckin' stincky disgusting red / orange sauce that you don't know the origin of (and I still don't know !).

When what they serve us look like thugs, or elephant's penis, or something not pretty at all, and that they literally forces us to eat it, then there is a problem.
When you do force someone to do something he or she doesn't want, it can have consequences... For teachers, who are supposed to be people who did some studies, then not deeply idiot, they should know that forcing is not logic nor wise... I mean, there are limits !

From going on exercise with varying foreign types I have been fed,

Donkey cock sausage - a piece of round tripe stuffed with bits of square tripe served in a sauce made from the excrement of a pig with an upset stomach.

Grits - Bad enough enslaving chaps but then forcing them to eat Grits was just bad manners.

Horse milk - Don't care if it was a National Dish it was still awful.

Pickled Herring - Even the Dutchmen who were eating it said it was awful.

However the worst taste ever in my mouth was that of wounded pride when my girlfriend of seven years dumped me for a bisexual merchant navy officer who had refused to serve on the ships going to the Falklands because it was dangerous. She could at least have chosen a man.

Best to wait until the start of January shooting season and then make sure you only get a Mature one as the young are offal.

Best cooked with tatties and neeps and served to friends with a large glass of whisky or three.

A wee song and a fist fight later helps the digestion.

Make sure you have a good cook to prepare your meal. This is most important. Your cook should make sure it leaves your body like a good wholesome hot curry. You do not want it to pass up the same way it went down.

One final tip. It might be a good idea if you arrange for the following day off work. Saves having to decide how to use up your ONE phone call.

I fail to see how we can scoff at foreigners for their disgusting eating habits when we happily serve up cauliflower and brussel sprouts....yuk!

I think those pinky grey burgers, you used to get outside British night clubs in the seventies, have to be right up there, you had to have had 12 pints to even contemplate them

Food is definitely a "To each his own" preference. I like cauliflower and brussels sprouts in fact I'll each most vegetables. Although I'm sure there are ones I've yet to try that may not suit me.

Reading this thread has reminded me of the time someone tried to get me to eat blood pudding. I laughed and asked what it really was and they confirmed it was blood. I left because just the idea of watching someone eat blood was making me ill.
