Consolation win for England in the 3rd ODI but it was even closer than the last one.

One could sense another WI moment when the first two balls in that final over went for 6 and then 4 with Morgan doing his best Corporal Jones impression 'Don't Panic. Don't Panic'

The end of the second T20I was oddly similar though I admit, poor umpiring was a crucial factor but England should have still won considering they only needed 7 runs off 4 balls with Buttler on strike. 6 runs off one ball is too much to ask from any player.

Think they would have done it if root hadn't been wrongly given out. The same umpire gave Kohli not out when he was plumb.
No wonder some Indian batsmen have great averages.
Is it only players that have been accused of taking bribes?

Root's wicket was definitely a turning point in the match and you're right.
England would have probably won the game.
But the real question is why they didn't have DRS in the first place.
One review for each team should get rid of these howlers.

The BCCI have only recently come on board and have allowed it to be used in the test series, while there umpires learn how the system works. It will be interesting to see if they fully embrace the full use of technology given the anti stance they have taken in the past.

There is no DRS in any T20 cricket. The ICC has rules, protocols and procedures for using DRS in tests & ODIs, but none for T20 matches.

Well played Marcus Stoinis.

Some poor bowling choices nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

The most amazing part of this was Stoinis' half-century stand with Josh Hazelwood, who was out in the middle for just shy of half an hour without facing a ball. Capped off his being run out in trying to stay away from the strike.

Here's a new take on an old (bad) joke

Q: What's the difference between an good ol' England batting collapse and an egg ?
A: You can not beat a good ol' England batting collapse.

Boom ! Boom !

England can argue 'til they are black 'n blue that they woz robbed out of this series but everyone is human. Even today one of the Indian batsmen was incorrectly dismissed on a no-ball.

But look on the bright side. It's the Windies next. They might even win that one (just don't mention that final over last time out)

Jokes aside, there were two things I spotted before the game got underway which were definately NOT funny.

Numero uno: Morgan was to be seen laughing and joking as the English National Anthem started.

Numero duo: Morgan did not sing a single note of the said anthem (and he did not appear alone)

Not sure who it was - could well have been Eddie Jones - who said to his team "If you do not know it then you learn it. Everyone will, in future, sing it"
