Arrow Films You`ve Seen Three, Six, Nine Times Or More

Now that doesn`t necessarily mean it has to be a film you watched because you liked it , since i`ve seen the Lewis Collins ( A poor mans Roger Moore , who himself is a penniless mans Jude Law , who also is a dead mans Orlando Bloom who is a - well you can see where i`m going with this right ) classic Who Dares Wins at least 12 times . For no other reason than ITV enjoys showing it every other week around 2am which is usually when i`m still up and about working

But apart from that i have seen the actually excellent following films over nine times each

Although remembered in no particular order .

1) The Warriors
2) Tron
3) Bad Santa
4) Ghost World
5) Empire Strikes Back
6) The Big Lebowski
7) Elmer Gantry
8) In The Mouth Of Madness
9) Scanners

Those are just nine right off the bat , and no i don`t consider it time wasted also i`m affronted you never actually said it at all never mind right to my face

So have you ever reached the fanatical heights yet of spending what equates to a long weekend of your life simply re-watching a film you've already seen

Or are you sane

Hah look who i`m asking ,you`re on this site for Gods sake

Although having said that God does love you for it

Aliens (Special Edition).

Not only have I seen it more times than I can remember, I once (ok twice) spent a night working out how many aliens there were in total, and how many get killed in the film to show whether there was any discrepancy.

Sad enough you may think. But it doesn't end there. The first time I did this (as I said I've done it twice, the first time not the Special Edition) was in about 1989, watching it on VHS and just putting a tick on a sheet of A4 every time a xenomorph bought the farm.

The next time I did this was about 5 years ago watching it on DVD on a computer. This time I couldn't just count them as I was watching, oh no. Each kill had to be logged on an Excel spreadsheet with method killed, who/what killed by and DVD timestamp for future reference. I was planning to eventually include screenshots of every alien fatality in a final database.

It's still a firm favourite and I watch it whenever it comes on TV. I don't watch the DVD all that much but I suppose I see it once a year on average.

Oh, and if you're wondering whether the numbers do tally up... inconclusive but probably yes. Some scenes (especially in the SE) are hard to distinguish how many bugs get stomped.

Not that I'm obsessive or anything.

Cheers,
Dumbassgo.

I think i`m around the eight mark with almost all of those except Goodbye Mister Chips , which was way too sad for me to see again.
Oh no don`t give me sadness , give me somebody getting chinned in the bogs or beaten flat out with a sock fulls of snooker balls but never sadness

Made the mistake of watching Lonely are the Brave last week , talk about a sad ending

Also don`t be embarrassed about number six , erm i`ve seen it at least ten times myself

Five times even while sober

I have watched quite a few films that would fall into the category but I will not put them all down as the list would be too huge.

1. Whisky a Uruguayan comedy drama that I enjoyed.
2. American Ninja because it was so cheesy and fun.
3. Back to the Future Trilogy because I won tickets to see the first movie out of a newspaper and it takes me back to my childhood.
4. Sideways because it's just an excellent all round movie.
5. Star Wars because I have watched it on every media format I could find and because of the many different variations released over the years.

Bullitt

watching it now as a matter of fact, for about the 15th time, when I saw it as a kid, the car chase made me wanna buy a Mustang, which I did and is now dearly departed . And Steve McQueen is well, Steve McQueen, what else can I say

More than nine but less than a 100

Zulu Dawn
Chishum
She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
Fort Apache
Rio Grande
The Searchers
Full Metal Jacket
From Dusk til Dawn
Major Dundee
They Died with thier Boots On
Goldfinger
Quick anf the Dead
Star Wars VI A New Hope
Tom Brown's Schooldays
Von Ryan's Express

More than a 100

Guns of Navarone
Where Eagles Dare
Horsesoldiers
Lawrence of Arabia
Stagecoach

Bearing in mind I have the above on DVD and in the days of video were taped off the TV and if about would watch them on being shown on tv. With sky now showing the old films over and over again, the sky is probably the limit.
