The Liverpool game today looked like a tale of two halves. First half Stoke looked more in control, scored right before halftime, it was looking like it could be a long day for Liverpool.

Second half Couthino and Firmino come on and immediately the tables turned and Liverpool was more in control. One goal by each of them and some great saves from Mignolet and they managed to save the day.

Not quite sure what Klopp was doing in the Stoke City v Liverpool game, I mean Ben Woodburn has got a lot of potential and Trent Alexander-Arnold looks a good bet for the future but the game had to change with Coutinho and Firmino coming on and thank goodness it did(with Mané, Lallana, Ings, Henderson all out injured) along with Sturridge and Origi and that turned the game to our advantage-two great goals which could be potential goals of the month contenders-Firmino's long range shot was fantastic. I do wish these footballers would remember if you remove your shirt you will pick up a needless yellow card!

I think in Coutinho's case he had been sick because I heard Klopp's postgame interview and he said Coutinho had dropped something like 3kg in 3 days or something like that. He probably would rather not have played him at all but it got desperate. Liverpool getting outplayed in the 1st half kind of made that decision for Klopp.

But you're absolutely right about Firmino taking his shirt off. That's like these stupid NFL players over here clearly making a touchdown celebration that's going to bring an unsportsmanlike flag and costing his team 15 yards on the kickoff.

One footnote from the weekend - the ref in the Spurs game who let the game run played an advantage for Delle Alli to slot home a beauty. Well played Sir!.
In exactly the way the linesman and ref didn't at Elland Road, when Wood turned off the shoulder of the last defender after the ball was played through, slotted it past the keeper only for the chuckle bros to show ineptitude in officiating is still alive and kicking.
Talking of ineptitude, Arsenal now 2-0 down at Selhurst Park. Apparently Walcott is the first team captain? Says it all, really. Wenger is ten years past his best and 2 or 3 into his dotage...

Palace now 3-0 up and the Holmesdale are 'Glad All Over' - Selhurst is an odd, near-on grotty ground, but since I first saw Leeds play there back in the late 60's there's always been a noisy crowd. Good on 'em.

Will it be the Billy Wright saga all over again for the Gooners?

Never seen so many Arsenal players falling down at the slightest knock and the sad faces of those supporters in the away bit looking miserable as sin, with some choice words of advice at the end.

I still believe Simeone is the man they want, but he is not available untill 2018, so maybe AW next year or an interim for twelve months.

Tony Adams named new Granada manager, now there's a thought.

Is that the Spanish club or the motorway services? Don't think he'll last long at either, even though he seems like a good bloke and was a very good captain and player.

Even if Wenger's team wins all 8 remaining matches, Spurs only need 10 points from our 7 fixtures to be celebrating the first Sore Arse Day in Premier League history.

So, when will the inaugural Sore Arse Day be? I'm putting my hat in the ring (so to speak) for the glorious occasion to be none other than Sunday 30th April, when they'll have to put up with the embarrassment of it happening just after the final whistle of what is scheduled to be the last ever derby game at WHL.

Roger!!! I can hear the 'smirk' in your post!!!!!

I saw the whites of our players eyes on Wednesday night, cos I was so near the front!!!

The desire is there!!!

But I'm still the usual pessimistic Spurs fan, and it's all set up for them not to win another game 'all' season EXCEPT the one at our place.
Surely they'll have 'some' pride????
