A bit off topic (and I'm not sure if this thread is the right place to ask // Didn't want to bother you with a pm), since you are one of the admins: Because of the site problems I couldn't log in for the last 4 or 5 days, only got as far as waiting for the redirect that never happened (simply waiting and/or clicking the redirect-link provided, both end in Connection Timed Out or Bad Gateway). Is it correct to assume that the actual server is located in the netherlands and the crew is working mostly at night? I usually try to log in round midnight.
This question is purely out of curiosity and if you don't have the time or any interest to answer it, that would be totally understandable and fine with me.

I've not been able to access VEF for some days and before that it was continually running badly.

I'm now close to abandoning this forum, so could someone please provide an explanation about what's going on?

We do not have specifics, all we know is that it is being worked on... we've had the same problems getting on and doing anything at all as everyone else.

For me, getting to the site wasn't the problem. I would enter my username and code but then instead of being logged in, I would be sent right back to to the first page asking me to log in. Today I made it in, too bad imagebam seems to be on the fritz.

To be honest I have no idea where the server is situated, the three admin you see here are just as unpaid as the rest of the mods, and we have nothing to do with the upkeep and maintenance of the site, we just deal with the day to day running of VEF.

The site is running quite well at the moment, but I cannot say if the disruption is over or if we can expect amymore down time.

My 2p on this: I can get to the front page and login, but after that I get the 503 error. Today is the first time in about two weeks that I've been able to post anything or even read a thread, logged in or not.

Whew!! OK. I thought I was banned or you guys moved and didnt tell me or something. I've been trying to get onto the site for a few weeks now with no luck. This is the first time I've been able to get on. I even changed browsers several times from Safari to Foxfire and yesterday to Chrome. Glad to see it's not just me but hoping we can all get back on board officially with no problems. I miss you guys.

I usually get the 508 error, 30 seconds after the loading page freezes.
Hope it'll be okay since today; i really cant breathe without my every two hours vintage shoot...
