[Note: This is six episodes of perhaps one of the best Betty White series you may never have heard of in which she plays a match-making mom to her recently divorced daughter, played by Marie Osmond.]

Maybe This Time is an American sitcom television series which aired on ABC from September 15, 1995 to February 17, 1996. It was created by Michael Jacobs and Bob Young. The series stars Marie Osmond as a mother and recent divorcee running the family bakery with her mother (Betty White) while raising her 11-year-old daughter (Ashley Johnson). The show's supporting cast includes Amy Hill, Craig Ferguson and Dane Cook, who joined the cast midway through its run. Synopsis: The series revolved around two elements, the relationships between three generations of women and the bakery which the elder two owned and operated in Haverford, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Thirtysomething Julia Wallace (Osmond), recovering from a divorce, puts her work running the bakery with her mother Shirley (White) and raising her daughter Gracie (Johnson) over trying to find romance once again. Julia's take comes much to the objection to the man-obsessed Shirley (a variation of White's Sue Ann Nivens from Mary Tyler Moore) and the pre-adolescent Gracie who was waiting for her first kiss at the series outset. Outside of the opposite sex, the dynamics of the relationships between the three characters are explored. Julia and Shirley were helped at the bakery by Scottish émigré Logan McDonough (Ferguson) whose views complemented those of his bosses. The most frequently seen customer on the series was Kay Ohara (Hill), owner of the pawn shop down the street from the bakery. Assorted other townspeople also came in and out of the bakery as well. Additions: Midway through the run, two other characters were added. Kyle (Cook), the quarterback of the football team at an unnamed local college, came in to help out at the bakery while Gracie gained an on-again, off-again boyfriend in the streetwise Nicky (Ross Malinger). The introduction of Nicky coincided with Julia dating his father, Nick Sr. (Robert Cicchini) though their date did not progress any further unlike their children.

Marie is a 1979 American television pilot starring singer-actress Marie Osmond. It was created as a star vehicle for Marie which was her sitcom debut following a successful three-year run alongside brother Donny on their variety show Donny & Marie (1976–79). The pilot was directed by actor Richard Crenna and broadcast December 1, 1979 on ABC but it was never picked up as a series by the network. It was produced by the Osmond family's production company, Osmond Productions and taped at Osmond Entertainment Center Studios which were located at 1420 East 800 North Orem, Utah.
Plot:
Marie stars as Marie Owens, a young single woman who leaves her home in Nebraska and moves to New York City in hopes of realizing her career dream of becoming a Broadway dancer. She enrolls in the Carla Coburn Dance Academy and finds an apartment that she shares with her two girlfriends, K.C. (Telma Hopkins) and Sandra (Zan Charisse). Ellen Travolta appears as her dance instructor and Bruce Kirby as the girls' landlord.

Marie is an American comedy-variety show hosted by and starring singer-actress Marie Osmond that aired on NBC from December 12, 1980 to September 26, 1981 with a total of seven episodes, split across two abbreviated seasons. Fred Silverman, then the President of NBC, had attempted to replicate the success of the 1976–79 variety show Donny & Marie (which Silverman had commissioned while at ABC) when he green-lit Pink Lady and Jeff earlier in 1980. That show proved to be an all-around disaster and was canceled after only five episodes. The Osmond family was in a lull in their career in 1979 after the cancellation of "Donny & Marie", with their 1979 album Steppin' Out being a commercial failure and star Donny Osmond distancing himself from the family. Marie had starred in an unsold pilot "Marie" (see above) and with the Osmonds in debt from their investment into "Donny & Marie", and with Silverman in need of an established hit, Marie Osmond returned to variety television in December 1980 and headlined her own show on NBC in an attempt to repeat the success of her earlier variety series. She was contracted to do seven shows for NBC and she was paid $1,000,000 for every episode. The new show showcased Osmond's singing, acting and comedic talents in the same format of a traditional variety series (similar to Donny & Marie) which featured musical numbers, comedy sketches and various guest stars each week. Guest stars included TV personalities and musical artists such as Gavin MacLeod, Jeff Conaway, Tony Orlando, The Pointer Sisters, Andy Williams, Scott Baio, Sally Struthers, David Copperfield, Nell Carter, Bob Hope, The Commodores and Andy Gibb. Noticeably absent on-camera were Marie's brothers; of them, only Jimmy Osmond appeared on the show as a guest in one episode, though Donny Osmond appeared as a surprise during the closing number of the premiere episode to tell Marie he thought she was great and had a winner. (Alan and Jay were listed as executive producers.)
