The state library in Denmark (dunno their name right now) also got copies. I have this from a reliable source. Sorry for misreading the edition-number on your magazine. One question, the 'bootleg'ed' version, was it nearly identical to the original? Do you remember? If you read the book Porn Gold you will find some comments from Rupert James (staff. (not his real name btw)) Amongst other things he discusses the bootleg-problem in UK. So the bootleg-problem was huge for CCC. Yes, CCC story is really interesting and somewhat intruiging. DOn't hesitate to contact me PM if you want, to discuss further. Jolly PS, the book Porn Gold is really informative regarding porn, but don't chase it down just for the CCC. They're not mentioned *that* much. Additional note: There's no thing called "UK version" of CCC. They did hardcore and left it to the importers to deal with eventual problems locally.

Yes it was almost identical, the same hardcore mag but all the anal pics were edited to have a blurred circle over the action. It had the same intro pages (I dont remember where it said it was printed but I never doubted it was official) but it had a few less pages and the page size was a little smaller. This is what leads me to now think it may have been a bootleg as why would CCC do that, surely they were set up to print a specific size.
I never saw anything like that before or since, well like I said until 2000 when they flooded in to the country and I bought a few! Sorry for posting the link Decadence I didnt realise it wasnt permitted! |

The so-called Private shops in the UK used to sell what looked at first glance like genuine mags - until you got into the cellophane wrappers (which you couldn't do in the shops of course). The you found that they wer cheap copies with black circles all over the 'interesting' parts. Some newsagents sold these too, I believe. Only when the law was changed did the real versions start appearing - though they'd always been available under the counter in Soho and certain other parts of London and major cities. |

Here are some thoughts about the company itself.
The story was that Peter Theander sold Color Cimax to Silwa in 2001 and they continued publishing magazines and other stuff with the CC name. I wonder if it was a sale or merely a license? Because Color Climax Corporation ApS existed until April 2007 until there was a fusion and it became part of "Anpartsselskabet Af 1. Marts 1984" (a.k.a. CCC-Print ApS). That company (Anpartsselskabet...) is still functioning and uses Color Climax Corporation ApS as its auxiliary company name. (link, in Danish http://www.proff.dk/firma/anpartssel...d/14272847-1/# The CCC HQ building is now torn down, I understand. I was in Copenhagen in 2012 and took some pictures of the HQ when it was still standing. There was a side door to the building that still said "Rodox Trading" with opening hours 8.15 a.m to 4.30 p.m Monday to Friday. This address was Lergravsvej 44 even if it was the same building which main facade was on Strandlodsvej 61. Lergravsvej 52, which is given on the Color Climax webpage is a high rise flat (ordinary apartments) where you need a code to get in. On the mailboxes in front of it was no mention of "Richard Hansen" nor "Color Climax", so if anyone wants to check the compliance then better call beforehand, otherwise it will not work. The website also says that all material is taken between 1967 and 2001, yet there was on the webpage at least one photoshoot which they claimed was taken in 2002 and they had "new videos" that looked very 2000's. Point is, the disclaimer on the website has many errors. My guess is that they have nothing in Denmark but in the US (Digital Palette) which might pay a fee to the rights owner Peter Theander. In a way this has nothing to do with anything, I just wanted have my five cents here. Last edited by FinnishLion; February 19th, 2017 at 08:58 PM.. Reason: typos, link added |

I am currently disabled, in practice only one hand to write with. So my answer is short (and that's why I've not responded yet) Eventually CC,com started to publish new material not even closely remoted to Theander-works. Why shouldn't they? Probably increasingly loss of customers (Online Porn gradually got better than CC and so forth) Material you refer to is not CC. (Ok it is because website have the licence to say so, but in our view it's not. A *lot* of the videos (as I remember) was directed by Harry S. Morgan. Never been a CC director (other than eventually selling material) I did shoot you a PM As well. Hope thats ok Jolly

Yes, that site is frowned upon. It charges people for material previously sourced from our beloved forum, with a logo added to it.
