I was intrigued by this band and took a moment to look them up. It turns out that although they never really took off, at least one of the band's members turned out to be of some note. The lead singer and bassist, George Alexander, was a founding member of The Easybeats which formed in 1964 and was Australia's answer to The Beatles. George, whose actual name is George Redburn Young, emigrated to Australia from Scotland after WWII along with his family including younger brothers... Malcolm and Angus. I imagine that you guys can connect the dots. I thought this was kind of interesting and just wanted to pass it along.
I gave the band a listen and, well, I can see why they didn't really make an impression. Even with the involvement of John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the production of a couple of their songs, they just sound rather generic to my ears. But, don't take my word for it. Give them a listen if you're interested... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfnl...U&noredirect=1 Cheers!
