One has to wonder what will happen to the thousands of mags in his collection, which must go from Escort to Whitehouse ! We will all miss those scans from 70's and 80's mags.

Jesus. Stunned. I've just this moment found out.

I never met Tim personally, but I 'knew' him originally from his '80's Rule' Yahoo group, where I was a member and contributor back in the day.

Tim joined here around the same time as me, and I remember this forum appearing on the feed on 80's Rule. Back then, vintage material, particularly magazine scans/UK magazine models, were spread far and wide - Yahoo, msn and other groups, newsgroups (remember them?).

Slowly but surely, the web started to bring things together. I seem to recall that Tim closed the 80's Rule group and pointed all members here.

So sad to hear of his passing. RIP Tim, God Speed :'(

Having read post after post of people commenting on the body of quality work he's left behind not to mention the quality of the man that Tim was this seemed spot on.

So very sad to hear of Hattertim's passing, he was a fantastic contributor to this forum. R.I.P Tim, and deepest condolences to his family.

Tim was always fair in moderation, not so much punishing as helping and advising when I got things wrong.
His contirbution to this fourm is incalculable.

This is very sad news.

When I first joined VEF I made a rather clumsy post in the wrong thread and was bawled out by another moderator. Tim intervened, welcomed me and sorted the whole problem out. He encouraged me to remain with VEF, and to post, and he commented helpfully on my posts from time to time.

I didn't know him well, but I always enjoyed his well-organised posts from his obviously vast collection of mainly British mags. I'll miss him for his posts and his great generosity.

Around 2006/2007 I was a member of a glamour forum where Tim was as busy as he has been here. He once posted a photo of his stored collection of classic glamour magazines. As simple as I can put it, one hell of a lot of boxes stacked neatly to about waist height around the walls of a sunlit room.

it's sad to think they may all just be thrown out but nowhere near as sad as the loss of Tim

Really sad news, one of the highlights of the day checking what he'd posted up (and then spend a week trying to find a copy of the mag for sale!).
Helpful on PMs ref scanning, seemed a really top bloke.

Just logged on for the first time in a few months to see this very sad news.

My very first post (now lost) back in 2007 was a vague request for a girl I remembered from over 30 years earlier and I was astonished when Tim located and posted the very set a couple of days later.
