I have read the previous posts with great interest and understand fully the various points and arguments made – it must be the right thing for both!
Certainly, we got it right as I and Jayne are still happily married 71 and 67 years old respectively. I was 18 and Jayne 14 when we first met. This was by chance as she needed a lift home from a disco at a country house hotel some 8-miles from where we lived. Maybe thats the older man thing.When he wasn't "in character" he was very respectful and friendly etc and thankful to be invited to play with my good lady etc.there is something else in the future being planned involving him and a few of his friends,but not as yet.

The 'older man thing' seems quite common. My wife was very friendly with a widowed neighbour in his 60's when we were late 30's. He too was gentlemanly and had amazing stamina, more like a man in his 20's.
