Thanks footstep. I may be putting many photos of my trails in this thread for awhile. Between 1997-2005 I hiked every mile of 225 trails. The shortest one was only 0.6 mile. The longest was 66 miles which took me two months of weekends to hike.

The 3.8 mile Arie Crown Woods Trail in the town of Countryside, Cook County.

Trail surfaces vary greatly. This one is what is called packed earth, or a dirt trail. This trail consists of two overlapping loops. It is easy to get lost on this trail despite it's small size. There are very few signs and the growth of tall shrubs along the borders of the trail making seeing what is ahead difficult in many spots.
