Return of the Evil Dead (1973)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068232

The pre credit sequence shows a redhaired village girl being sacrificed by the Templars who then drink her blood and eat her organs. The villagers storm the castle and carry off the knights and as they are set to be burned alive the leader promises they will arise from the dead. So the villagers burn their eyes out to make it harder to find their way back.
A totally different origin to the first film but go with it.
The village is celebrating the 500th (?) anniversary of their victory over the Templars and Murdo, the local weirdo, believes this is the night they will return. Murdo sacrifices a local girl and her blood flows over the Templar graves and as the party gets going the Templars slowly rise, scenes lifted straight from the first film but why not as they worked well enough then.

The Templars head towards the town and as they are guided by sound the fireworks display works well for them.
The back half of the film is the townsfolk trying to get back whilst a greedy mayor just wants to save his wealth and the local Governor is more interested in his maid. The survivors are trapped in a local church but both greed and selfishness will see several of them off before the end.

Default Resident Evil: Death Island

The fourth CG animated RE movie that delivers some brilliant lines, same smooth animation, but lackluster action scenes. Vendetta is miles better than this.

Jaws 2 (1978)
Directed By Jeannot Szwarc

Police chief Brody must protect the citizens of Amity after a second monstrous shark begins terrorizing the waters.

My Review : (Multiple Viewing) Basically the same as the first movie. Not as good but still a fun ride... A boat ride If I was sheriff Brody I'll move as far away as I could from the sea after this

300 (2006)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0416449/

The story is simple and its basically about the Spartans standing their ground, attack-wave after attack-wave. The story trows in some more plot lines, involving King Leonidas' wife Queen Gorgo, who tries to convince the council to send more military support to save her husband, who knows he's going to meet a certain death. The diversity between those two main plot lines of attack and mostly talking and corruption work out well.

Blind Dead film #3

The Ghost Galleon (1974) aka El buque maldito
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071256

As part of a publicity stunt two models are drifting in a motor boat out in the Atlantic ocean to try and grab the attention of passing ships. However a fog closes in on them and within that fog they see an old style galleon coming towards them fast and after they collide their boat starts slowly taking on water.
The girls are advised to stay on their boat and one decides to board the galleon that one of them had described as a ghost ship. Seeing how empty and decrepit it looks, and ignoring the clear spookiness she goes on a walkabout.
We hear screams from the galleon whilst the other girl sleeps, when a search helicopter arrives there is no trace of the ships.
When Lorena does not return from the galleon, Kathy decides to go aboard as she does not feel safe on the small boat. Finding a cabin inside with Lorena's bag she decides to rest and puts the radio on
That night the Templars rise from their coffins in the hold and are attracted by the sound of the radio and capture Kathy.
Meanwhile the rescue ship spots the mysterious fog with its excessive heat, and the five climb aboard the galleon to find their small boat disappears.
Who will fall to the undead Templars in their lust for blood drinking and will anyone survive?

Back to the Future (1985) - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0088763/

IMDb plot: Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown.

[First Viewing]

One of a few 80s blockbusters I've never seen and purposefully avoided watching until now because I thought they couldn't possible live up to the hype at this point.

It's not the instant classic everyone says it is (Quentin Tarantino claims it's an example of a "perfect" film) but it's pretty good overall. Christopher Lloyd really did it for me, Bob Zemeckis is a great director and I love time travel stories. My major issue is Michael J Fox, and this caused me to resurrect an opinion I had about him waaay back when before his health issues became a thing. As the hero, he just doesn't display much range here. His default expression looks like a mixture of confusion and a migraine...through 90% of the movie. It just got irritating. The finale does give it a nice punch of an ending, tying things up nicely. I wondered if it would create a need to watch the sequels. It didn't. But oh well, time was not wasted (pardon the pun). 7/10

A well crafted detailed review of how you truly feel about the movie.
Cannot dismiss that well explained point of view.

For me, those movies only come out on rare occasions, they are a treat.

I have no issue with the acting ability of Michael J Fox but understand everyone has their own opinions so cannot knock you down about how you felt about the movie and an actor.

I liked the scene of Michael J Fox playing the guitar to johnny b goode.
Which later was highlighted in an episode of family guy. Never gonna give you up. Which was AWESOME !

I myself still would give Back to the future 10/10 but everyone is different.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. Pretty good plot, Jude Law is a great, if a tad to smartarsey, Watson and Jared Harris is a chillingly psychopathic Moriarty. As with the last film, Downey's portrayal of Holmes grates a bit.

As would many people, and that's perfectly fine as well. It's an objectively good movie. I imagine many tie enjoyment of this film to fond memories of youth, what I call the "Princess Bride Effect."

I left out some of the praise it deserved, especially the clever aspects of the script having to do with elements of the past and present. It also didn't seem very dated for a 40-year-old film.
