Omar Sharif was a well-known actor and bridge player but he also had a reputation as a bit of a womaniser and there is a story that he and his then girlfriend, actress Alexandra Bastedo(The Champions) met up with the comedy actor, Peter Sellers and his girlfriend in France. Sellers and Bastedo went for a walk and came back to find Sharif in bed with Peter's girlfriend!-they'd only been gone FIVE minutes!!. They left them to it, packed up and went home. Charming fellow.

Did you know that two actresses passed themselves off as young girls for a children's tv drama and a film. Firstly Tina Heath(soon to be a new Blue Peter presenter) appeared as Lizzie Dripping in a BBC1 Jackanory drama series for kids playing a 12 yr old(when in her early twenties) who meets a witch. Secondly Sally Thomsett(who go on to play one of two flatmates in comedy series 'Man About the House') was in her twenties when she was cast as the younger sister to Jenny Agutter in 'The Railway Children'. Incidentally Tina Heath, whilst on Blue Peter became the first one to show her baby live on the show, thanks to an ultra-sound examination!

If you're a BBC journalist and you don't like the current Tory govt its possible to take a swipe at them by saying Jeremy cunt instead of Jeremy hunt .

Also you can refer to proposed govt spending restraints as a big ARSEk rather than a big ask like one of them has been doing today .
