There were some yellow shirted, stuck on sideburned people in the crowd at England v South Africa test match who suddenly yelled and cheered and then got the whole crowd cheering and chanting Wiggo, Wiggo. Fantastic achievement by Bradley Wiggins and surely an MBE is beckoning in the New Year's Honours, let alone a chance of winning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in December. Let's hope a gold medal can be his to round off a superb year for him.

WHat's all the fuss about??

I've had better and longer sideburns than that since I was 18 and I've never been offered the MBE.

Of course - and I don't expect an MBE for that either. There's 2 year olds can ride a bike.

Department of "Men who lived up to their Name":
(AP) MANILA, Philippines - Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has finally met his estranged father after 42 years of separation, following an exhibition game in the Philippines.

Philander Rodman Jr., who has acknowledged fathering 29 children by 16 mothers, says he was happy and surprised that his son agreed to meet him late Wednesday.
Philander Rodman?

Wow.

Kinda an Edwardian pornstar name, when you think about it. . .

I dripped melted butter on to my black suede shoe - now I'm a bit worried that it might look like dried spunk - what do you think?

I'm sure there's a joke about "a knob of butter" in there somewhere!

In the interest of science, I purchased a section of black suede. I dribbled melted butter on a section of it. I then, er, applied a bit of fresh spunk and allowed the two stains to dry.

The good news - the two stains don't look alike.

The bad news - what's on your shoe doesn't look like the butter....
