Because some are having issues using Google DNS, you can try OpenDNS servers as an alternative.

Server settings:

Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondary: 208.67.220.220

Well, I really couldn't expect this but I found out the prob is not in the Vodafone modem: it's the browser instead.
Thanks to our fellow member aveline I tried Tor Browser (for Mac) and now I can easily dl not only from 1fichier but from RG and Uploaded too. I ignore whether there is a Tor for pc or not, just google it and see.

I have a problem though. I can't download as a free user as I click on the download button a countdown starts. But when it's over and I click on the dl button the countdown starts again (with a longer waiting time!).

It happened to me too but I found the following solution:

copy the dl link on a rtf or word file, then copy it again and paste it on the Tor bar; when the dl button appears, click on it and you'll be able to download immediately. Do it the day after anyway.
It works for me.

For those (expecially Italians), recently having problems in downloading from 1fichier

First of all change your DNS numbers, you can find many guide on how.

In Chrome I installed Hola extension which shows externally a different IP such as tor browser, And set another country in it.

In Jdownloader (connections management) I set up some proxies out of Italy from www.freeproxylists.net, not everybody works, just try some.

Now everything is fine.

Again the prob seems to be in that Vodafone Station Revolution. As some already stated they block some sites (1fichier among others) and adding new DNS numbers is useless since they redirect your DNS to theirs; changing browsers, hiding IP's is useless either unless you have a different modem/router, if this is the case just follow the tips above.
Googling I found a very useful tutorial to avoid this f*****g prob on VSR, for both Windows and Mac users. It's Italian though.

Notwithstanding the tips kindly offered on the tube I had the same probs while attempting downloading from 1fichier.
I changed everything through Java and the Terminal commands following that guy's instructions step by step anyway.
Today:

1 - I went to the System Preferences on my Mac
2 - deleted the Vodafone DNS and entered the following:
127.0.0.1
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

I am downloading from 1fichier right now. Hope this can help and last for the future.

I always downloaded as a free user. I did not care to wait for 1-2 hours. I don't download too much. Today I found out that they req'd 11 hours (760 min) to wait...
