Suddenly this chat screen popped up and some 'chat babe' started mouthing off about something or other. Kill it.
I've always found putting sound on mute avoids situations like that
One click and the sounds back another and its gone

Even while running firefox + no script + adblockplus
you just never know when pop unders will break through the your security shield
P & H arent alone in using them

I guess the free service has to be paid for somehow

As much as I dislike PH, I also understand the forums need
for income. So If you need to use it. For gods sake don't
flood the post with more than a few images.

Other wise all your individual posts will look like a mass of
tinny red crosses. Which at the best of times is all I see
instead of thumb nails.

As for the video pop ups. This means we’re all down loading
far more wasted bandwidth than the images we’re all after.
More so if you need to click on image after image…..

Default Uploaded images sometimes scrambled or distorted

Hi, wondered if anyone could advise on this problem

Occasionally when uploading pictures to an image host, some of the pictures get messed up: weird colours, bits of the picture shifting across, like this:

The first picture isn't too bad, apart from a small strip at the bottom. As you can see, the other two are much worse. When this problem occurs, it's typically like this

Now this isn't too much of a problem - i just delete them and re-upload them and they come out fine. But it's a bit irritating and time-consuming.

What could be the cause of this? I'm uploading the pictures to Imagebam - do you think it might be a problem their end?

Or the actual images themselves? Bear in mind they display perfectly on my pc, and will upload fine on the next attempt

Or could it be because I'm on a wireless connection? Perhaps some information is getting scrambled on its way through the air from my computer?

Or something else. Can anyone advise?

I think you should give ImageBams' General Support a look at your problem - they are pretty good & will prob suggest a ping test, from there they will be able to diagnose the problem you are having with your uploading

Default banning imagehosts from an individual computer?

ok, straight up...
P&H and imagebam suck...
they cause pages to be slow to load or they refuse to load completely at all...
what can i do to keep my computer from loading the thumbs from either site so i don't waste my time with these crappy pichosts...
(mac 10:6 SL)
imagevenue works just fine, always has...
waiting up to 5 minutes for a page to finish loading due to P&H is !@#$%^&*...
thanks for any help you can give...

check your browser options if it's possible to block specific websites from loading. if your browser doesn't support it, search for a sandbox tool which gives you this opportunity.

i've moved your question to this thread cause the domain didn't matter here and p&h is the main pita. imagebam works properly most of the time.

ok, no problem....
hmm, neither 'exceptions' or adblock do any good to prevent them from loading... wth?
