And that's for the folks who actually create the content-- the folks who make the software with which end users make something else are not going to be threatened.

Software manufacturers aren't liable for what you do with their software, any more than Nikon is responsible for the photographs you take. Generally speaking, the content (eg digital models) are provided separately from the underlying software platform/render engine, and what you do with it is what you do with it
