I was married at 17 and my then wife was 16. I had lots of pictures of her topless and fully nude in sexy poses, so under this legislation I could be prosecuted for looking at pictures or even possessing images of my own wife. So to quote Mr Bumble from Dickens Oliver Twist, "the law is an ass".

I dislike the fact that a copy of, say, Mayfair I bought in the 70s with a sixteen-year old in has now become illegal as much as you all do. But the law isn't applying retrospectively. It criminalises the possession of such an image now; no-one can be prosecuted for making such an image at a time when it wasn't illegal.

I'm assuming that anyone who owns the eponymous Blind Faith album released in 1969 runs the risk of being had up then? (It's on wikipedia)
