Having run the gambit from its ok to "If you look at that you don't get to look at me" I have found it is safer just to hide it and never bring it up.

She knows and generally accepts it (we have a good time watching stuff together, it's one of the best turn-ons in our sex life). She especially likes the fact that my preferences are of the vintage kind with "normal-looking" women (bush, no boob jobs, "regular" bodies). I do have to say though that I relied on porn as my only source of sex for a long time, so it's almost become an addiction. If it gets out of hand she gets angry - for a good reason I think, especially since she enjoys it in "normal" doses as well. So in one way this site is heaven for me, on the other hand it's feeding the dilemma

Mine has a very strange and extremely contradictory attitude towards porn.

She's a good few years older than me, but is very highly sexed, has a great body and for many many years had aspirations to appear in what she calls a "top shelf mag" herself. And as I've always enjoyed taking pornographic pictures of my women (my avatar is a "home snap" from 1993, for example), when we got together some years ago we decided to combine the two. That resulted in our own little porn site on the Web that we kept going for about 18 months, until the novelty wore off and it became too much hassle, upon which we closed it down. We still do the occasional photo-shoot, but for private consumption only.

So she's never had a problem with porn that SHE features in herself - quite the contrary in fact. But she HATES me looking at porn featuring other women!!!! She knows about my porn stash of course, and my DVDs. But they're never talked about, never shared. They're simply airbrushed out of the equation. And if she catches me looking at my porn (or even suspects that I've been taking a peek), two days of heavy-duty sulking can ensue.

She has no moral objections to it at all - it's purely and simply an insecurity issue that she's carrying around with her. She thinks that every other woman (espcially the younger ones) is so much sexier than her and that she can't "compete". And no amount of assurance from me can convince her that (a) it's not a "competition" and (b) she's plenty sexy enough for me and that porn isn't any sort of "substitute" (which it was with her ex husband, so that baggage has been carried over and dumped on me).

It's a shame - because she's definitely one of the hottest and most highly-sexed women I've ever been with. But some of the other women I've been mixed up with down the years really enjoyed their porn. One woman I used to date even had her own porn stash on VHS.

I suppose that in the end, it has to be put down to the extreme complexities of the female mindset, and the weird logic that women sometimes apply to things.
