size tag

Relatively recently, it appears that the "size" tag in our BB code has been re-interpreted. We used to have that size 1 and size 2 are smaller than normal. Now, size 2 is the normal size and size 1 is the old size 2.

Any reason why that happened?

BTW I mostly use the small sizes to make relatively long text fit underneath the image it describes.

I didn´t experience that, to be honest

It always appeared to me that size '2' is the regular, default setting.

Whereas size '1' always looked like that...

...and size '3' always looked like that

BTW: The text in my signature is size '1', but with bold characters.
