The big mistake that Klopp and other managers make and have made in the last is to underestimate the other team's resolve. Liverpool ran Leicester ragged in the first half and squandered a few good chances to win that game but as soon as Coutinho went off and Okasaki came on for an injured player the game turned sour. We were denied a penalty for starters but the defence once again was pretty dire. Personally I am not that bothered about the Carabao Cup( I didn't even know it was a sports drink) and hope that we can beat them in the League game on Saturday-twice in a week!! Not to mention Shaktar Donesk next week. The other problem is to not play your best players and had he risked a few of our main players like Salah, Milner etc we might have got a win, but c'est la vie that is football for the twenty-first century. Bring on the Champions League and the FA Cup 3rd round in January.

Of course it makes us uneasy. But they are allegations that a broadsheet chose to use Graham's name one to garner more attention and two when the man cannot defend himself.

I personally having met the man several times as a child and young adult along with a multitude of others cannot find anything different than what was written about him by others.

Who knows precisely what happened given the differing unfortunate attitude to abuse then ? There appears to be one conversation only in which in Taylor tells the victim to not take the matter any further given the abuse he might receive from the terraces.

Again who knows what GT may have done. He may well have spoken to the club hierarchy but he did not have a great relationship with Ellis or Richardson. Perhaps the abuser was paid off quietly. What is sad is that without concrete evidence Taylors name is being dragged in the mud when he is no longer around to give his side of the story.

Those who disliked him like the pompous nob Brian Glanville are once again sticking the knife in while the majority who knew him well find it extremely hard to accept or believe that a man who took great care in the welfare of others would not have acted. And given that he often acted behind the scenes who know what he may have tried to remove the abuser Langford.

Eeh, I do like an optimist LFC in years gone by, built a team on a good keeper and a solid back four, with one defender comfortable on bringing the ball out. You might be able to cobble a half decent back four out of your squad, but your third choice keeper looks as good as the two ahead in the queue.

Now something I've not seen before - despite the low attendance (and an absence of German supporters - see pre-season 'friendly' fisticuffs), the police come onto the field to instruct the ref that penalties are to be taken at the 'home end' (!!!!) Thomas Christiansen accepts this as the farce it obviously is, with great dignity - he is an increasingly impressive, admirable manager. As I said, my point was not about a 'dig' at Taylor nor Watford.

It is just that the evidence now being unearthed is that he colluded and was active in the "COVER -UP " of a paedophile at Aston Villa.

My point was, that as many Villa fans, on forums and local media, want a
re-assesment of Taylor's presence / contribution to their "History"...how does this affect Watford ?

As you have both enjoyed a Friendly and both clubs are considering,
- an Annual Taylor Fest..... the continuing Taylor disintergration may affect Watford.

They've almost achieved the impossible - managing to create a slow running tide of sympathy for someone who may well be a slimeball. The whole business has been appallingly handled and seemed to be heading for the tray marked 'couldn't hunt a witch in a coven' until the 'evidence' emerged, which had previously been disclosed to the FA in 2015, covering charges/incidents which were apparently dealt with and concluded, all of a sudden demanded his dismissal.

Whatever the rights/wrongs, it seems that someone was quite determined he wasn't go to stay in post and were going to have as many inquiries as it took to find him guilty, Aluko previously appears to have accepted a 'settlement' payment, the current squad have looked bored by the whole affair, Sampson has looked like a rabbit in the stewpot, not being comforted by the carrots arriving, and whilst sat on the bench the other night, merely lacked a neon display alternating between "Guilty/Victim" and the FA have proved, beyond all doubt, that they couldn't organise a wank at an orgy.

After about a 2 mile hike from Stratford station, this was my view this season at the HOME of athletics!!!

I needed oxygen by the time I got to my seat!!!



Hopefully I will be nearer the pitch at my first visit to the Udders ground next week.

What with Wembley, I need binoculars for football this season!!!!
