The only one who maybe "thought" the 500 was easy was Juan Montoya, and he was not in F1 when he won. He was in the CART Series. He didn't say the track was easy, but the spec cars of the time. He said his Grandma could have driven it. |

I tell you what. With Lauda's career being topical atm, you starting going over his career again.
In doing so, it has inadvertently made me appreciate the substance of James Hunt's career. Hunt might not have your typical career of a champ. It might not be statistically huge. People can pick holes in his championship win with Lauda's injuries. In 76, Hunt had to deal with the following disadvantages. - chemistry with a new team, compared to Lauda/Ferrari in their third, and off the back of a championship win. - The McLaren was an older car. The Ferrari was in its second year, and was a much improved car of the previous model. - Without knowing how many dnfs were due to his own errors. Even with Lauda missing races, Hunt still had more races where he didn't score points. -Hunt had 4 meaningful seasons in F1. Considering all the factors that contribute to winning F1 championships, he only had one genuine shot at winning it. With this in mind, you wouldn't want Lauda to have suffered an injury where he's disfigured. But I think it would be fair if he'd suffered a broken leg and missed races because of that. I feel a little bad for him, his family and fans There's quite a lot of substance in Hunt's talent and career. But people only talk about him in the context of how many women he's banged. |

How many times will Ferrari shoot themselves in the foot? This weekend they should be celebrating the glory years of the 70's rather than revsiting to wilderness years we've mostly suffered since then. Niki and Enzo must be looking on from the aftrlife and fuming!!

Atrocious decision yet again by Ferrari. All the other teams saw that the times in Q1 were falling. To let Charles remain in the pits whilst others improved their times makes them look like total amateurs. When will it end?

The dimwit from Stevenage is probably the only person on earth who doesn't realize that he's destroying the sport. Go do some rap music but just get the hell out. Anyway, I don't waste my time watching the Lewis Hamilton (boring) show every race weekend.

Not Hamilton's fault that he's got the best car or that the tracks are crap and the rules effectively prevent close racing, he doesn't build the cars or make the rules |

The guy thinks he's the end of the world which he's not. Nobody outside of Britain and of the Mercedes team gives a crap about him. If Ferrari had that same dominance everybody would be screaming for a tweak of the rules...but since they are not winning, anti-Ferrari people are happy.

Wasn't it your own great countryman, that once said "It's not about life or death, Football's more important than that!" ?
